Some good calls in there Truss. Agree on Leonard, absolutely clinical once he had a guy going. As a bit of a leftfield pick I always felt that pre Watson Eubank was excellent once he had someone going.

Good finisher as he was I can't see Lewis being above Tyson- Do you think that Tyson would have let Holyfield off the hook the way he did?

Good list Truss , Felix Trinidad would have to be a top 10 finisher for me.
As for Eubank underrated ? Really. Gets overrated if anything.
Cheers Rodders

Haye is a very good finisher.
Never let's people off the hook, if he gets them in trouble he puts them away.

Juan Manuel Marquez. Fantastic finisher. Look at his jobs in Katsidis, Diaz and Pacquiao.
Also like the way Haye finishes, as eluded to, soon as he gets them going, you may as well throw in the towel.
notable mention goes to Gennady Golovkin, he just literally breaks them down, and when hurt, puts even more ridiculous power into his shot selection to finish the fight.

I would put Tua in that category too. Made easier for him if he was able to connect with his ridiculous left hook.

Dempsey would be there or thereabouts. Mind you, he was largely fighting pre-neutral corner rule so that throws up a question mark.

Re: Boxing's top 10 greatest finishers ??
Haye? Seem to remember that he had Ruiz on toast in the first and it took him another eight to grind out the win. He also hurt The Cat plenty prior to running out of gas, so I'm not sure that he would be in this list for me. Monzon would belong in this company, as would Foster and Saddler. Perhaps less obviously, I always thought that Dwight Muhammad Qawi had a real killer instinct as a light-heavy. Remember Spinks commenting on it after Qawi had destroyed Saad and looked like an absolute beast in doing so.
Like the original list, mind.
