my team beat Newcastle 5-1 in the premier league.

2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers

3 own goals, another game at Withdean where i got drenched.

At least you won the league that year Nick! I remember getting drenched and frozen at the Withdean Stadium on a couple of Col U visits there. The 'temporary' away stand behind the goal would have been more at home at a golf event than a football match!

Yeah it wasn't a football stadium it was simply an athletics track, but i was never too moan as it was better getting a 20 minute train to Preston Park, than going well over an hour to Gillingham!

I kinda miss the Withdean days, when we were complete rubbish and the club actually served Chips!

Respectable 1-0 loss at Birmingham........  

Yes that must have been a bit of a nightmare having to ground share with Gillingham.

My Dad was born in Hove and I have good memories of BHAFC. When my Nan was alive we always used to plan our visits to see her to coincide with a game at the Goldstone Ground.

Fair enough mate  I never went to the Goldstone, my first game was the first game at withdean funny enough. But i have seen many goldstone videos. That Storer winner against Doncaster looks like it would kill people in the terrace!

On this day

Brighton 0-3 Leeds. Gus Poyet first home league game in charge, destroyed. Completely beaten by the best performance i have ever seen at league one level.

Lost 1-0 at home to Huddersfield 

Typical freezing cold Withdean game, where it probably rained and we were awful. Something tells me Nicky Forster missed a late penalty in this game.

how did your team get on?

Beat Welling United 3-1 at home.

Bit of a low point in our history, we had dropped into the Conference for a couple of seasons.

On this day in 2007 we drew 2-2 with Carlisle United. Believe this was a game where Nicky Forster rescued a point when were 2-0 down and had 10 men!

lost 2-0 to Everton 2 years today , i think Wheater got sent off in the first half aswell.

2011 we beat Coventry 2-1 at the AMEX.

Fantastic header from Roman Vincelot won the game for us, another good player that Poyet binned. Seems to be doing well at Leyton Orient under Sir Russel Slade, hopefully he will be a Championship player again next season.

Also back in 2005 we drew 0-0 with Derby at Withdean. Alan Blaney, the big irish bald nutty keeper saved a penalty for us in the last minute, went mental!!!

Well on this day last season we beat Bristol City 2-0 at the AMEX. We played very poor but still eased to victory.

Back in 2010 we drew 1-1 with FC United Of Manchester at Withdean in the FA Cup. By far the best supporters i have ever ever seen, reminded me of foreign fans. Very very loud, went mental when they scored, sung the whole game and during half time. Had banners, minor red smoke etc. Looked class. Fantastic football club.

In 2009 we just managed to beat Rushden and Diamonds 3-2.

Liam Dickinson stole a winner in the last minute. We were poor, they scored 2 cracking goals.

we drew 1-1 away from home at Fulham where i think Klansic scored the opener then they scored in the 70th odd minute.

On this day in 2006

We beat Stafford Rangers 3-0 in the fa cup 3rd round

No idea who scored this game, all i can remember from this game was a Stafford player stacking over when running down the wing with the ball and trying to get a free kick 

We lost 1-0 to Sunderland in the Championship on this day in 2006.

Rather shockingly I have no idea what happened

In 2011 on this day we beat Nottingham Forest 1-0. Will Buckley scoring in the last minute. I made this mistake of leaving early, as i sensed a Forest winner  

Also back in 2005 we drew 1-1 with Watford. Don't know who scored, but the big bald Irish nutter keeper Alan Blayney saved a penalty! Saved a few penaltys in his 3 month loan spell with us!

In 2009 we beat Exeter 1-0 away from home, 90th winner from Andrew Crofts. Peter Brezovan saved a penalty for us on his debut earlier in the game.

In 2008 we drew 1-1 away at Oldham. Glenn Murray scored a class goal for us.

Won 3-1 away at Bracknell on the way to a title and another promotion.

Feed the Yetti and he will score!

Lost 2-1 at Huddersfield back in 2010. Glenn Murray scored a good goal but also missed a penalty and Chris Wood hit the post twice.

Unlucky is an understatement.

In 2008 we lost 4-2 at home to Franchise FC in our traditional Friday night December game at Withdean. 

We were rubbish. One month loan legend Bradley Johnson scored a worldy though.

Drew 0-0 with Forest last season at the AMEX.

Must of broken a record with the amount of fouls they made on us. Also Will Buckley was a suspect for r**e on Greg Halford and Dan Harding.

On this day back in 2008 we beat Shrewsbury town on penalty's in the JPT. Worst game of football i have ever seen on SKY Sports.

On this day back in 2011 we lost 1-0 at home to Burnley.

Worst referee i have ever seen at a Brighton game. Sent of 2 of our players before the 15 minute. Denied us a clear penalty. Also let one of there players do a 2 footed lunge on our left back.

Still despite 9 men we outclassed 11 men for most of the game. Deserved at least a point. Also amazing atmosphere at the AMEX.

Lost 2-1 to Port Vale back in 2006.

Leon Costintine who is now playing county league football i believe tore us apart in this game and scored 2 goals for Vale.
