Well done Edinburgh, salvaged Scottish pride at the end of a desperate weekend. They showed they can play some smart rugby, hopefully a sign to things to come!

Some stout defence from Edinburgh in that game. Good performance.
Any chance Ross Ford will ever be an accurate thrower?

A bit more like it from Edinburgh! Some very good play. Things are warming up nicely for the 1872. Too early in the new coaches tenure to begin the what if's but improvement none the less. Would like to see a bit more of Hart and Cuthbert held his own-decent result.

Re: HC, Pool 6, Round 4 Gloucester V Edinburgh
Edinburgh's defence throughout looked very good. Not sure it was always onside but that is probably a bit of blinkered Englishman googles seeing what I wanted to.
Glos on the other hand look awful this season. I'm beginning to worry Davies is another clueless Prem Head Coach. Front-row, Hudson, Knoyle, all nowhere near good enough for this or any other level. Why he didn't strengthen there is beyond me. Kvesic looking like a luxury player as well and half the player he was at Worcester, I don't think that reflects well on the Glos coaching team.

Cross can be more than decent come scrum time. but like a lot of players he thrives on gametime.
Nel playing week in week out 80 min is really affecting his game.

Burns did not put Tonks ove rthe hoardings. He gave him a slight push on the back and Tonks climbed over - hence the guilty look on Tonks face when he got back over. Still good result for Edinburgh and very well played

Well done Edinburgh - at least some good news. All grist to the mill.
Did I pass out and wake up in a parallel universe where Atiga scores tries and Cuthbert is a decent goal kicker?

Re: HC, Pool 6, Round 4 Gloucester V Edinburgh
Hart had a pretty good game for a first start and lasted the pace well. Some of his box kicking was a bit off but he marshalled the pack well and used his runners well. He did not try to do to much, sometimes less is more. Glasgow please note!
Good to add another option at scrumhalf, I am sure we will see a fair bit more of him now, especially in the international window.
Atiga and Cuthbert both showed that in the right position and in the right style that they are not bad players either. I think we may just have seen a change in the pecking order at stand off. Tonks played with so much more authority than Leonard has all season. Suddenly Edinburgh look like they have a few decent options.
Some decent competition in the pack developing as well. Atkins looked good when he came on, the lineout definitely improved from then on. He looks comfortable at this level and we will see a bit more of him now as well.
All the backrow played well and Grant reminded us that he can be a very good openside as well with a MOM performance.
Its all going to be about consistency going forward, got to be able to play like that week in week out and not only when you are embarrassed about your abysmal performance from the previous week!

It was down to Ford's poor throwing, VdW is a very good lineout operator. But agreed Atkins is a hard man to stop.
Back row was awesome today.

I have not given up on Glasgow yet, though they are certainly trying my patience!

What a total load of tripe. Our worst performance of the season and that's really saying something!! We finally get our set piece right and our backs behave like clueless buffoons. Truly, truly dire

What is going on with Glos then Hong Kong? Seem of have got some decent players in but poor thus far. Underachieving even? I was fairly regular at Kingsholm 1995-03 and to me it seems like something is now missing.

Top marks MFL. Winning in front of the Shed is never easy.
However, two minutes to go and 6pts ahead, why not drop a goal and be 9 up? Game over they couldn't score twice but at 6pts they could get a converted try? Is it me?

Re: HC, Pool 6, Round 4 Gloucester V Edinburgh
Stub, we're trying to hard to force games rather than playing for territory, which perhaps stems from having an underpowered and underperforming front 5. Ironically our scrum was dominant today, but our backs seemed clueless. It doesn't help when our top players are playing under par either. Morgan had his best game for us this season by a country mile despite his moment of madness. 36 has been very hit and miss and Burns has been poor for too long.
We have a very young team and perhaps we're missing some wise old heads to guide us. I sincerely hope Afoa, Hibbard and the other new signings help us manage games far better. This season we just need to make sure we stay up, which if we continue to play like this may be quite a tough ask!

HongKong - I am sure you'll stay up being as I watch Wuss a bit just now and next weekend should sort out that concern. That said you are less than the sum of your parts and I can see that some wise heads should help going forward. Good luck - I've a massive soft spot for Gloucester.
