Scottish Cup Fifth Round Draw
Here is the ties for the Fifth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup
Alloa Athletic v Dumbarton
Clyde or Stranraer v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Hibernian v Raith Rovers
Albion Rovers v Stenhousemuir
Brechin City or Forfar Athletic v St Johnstone
Celtic v Aberdeen
Dundee United v Queen of the South or St Mirren
Rangers v Ayr United or Dunfermline Athletic
Tie of the round has to be the Celtic Aberdeen Tie. Just a pity we will probably have another trip to Glasgow on a Sunday for a half past 12 kick off. As long as Aberdeen don't take our league form to Parkhead but instead our cup form there then we have a chance.
Any other ties that anyone has an opinion on?

I hope the Celtic/Aberdeen game is booked in for the 3pm Sunday kick-off, it'll be interesting to see the fanbase Aberdeen travel down with, they're allowed to request upto 20% of the capacity which is 12,500+ and they're also in the LC Cup Semi the week before this game, if they're sitting second or third in the Premiership and in yhe League Cup final I can see the Dons bringing a huge number down to Glasgow, maybe 6 or 7 thousand.
They've brought 15k+ down to Hampden for Semi's in the past but the winner of this tie will probably be favourites so in that sense I could see them making a big journy down, with that in mind and so many making the long trip at one of the worst times of year I hope its on the TV sloy thats best suited for safety.

That would be ideal but really depends if it's the BBC or SKY who pick up the game. That will also depend on what sort of crowd we bring down with us but I don;t thing your way off the mark with what you said.
To be honest with our record in cup game semi finals lately I am worrying as to what our mentality could be the following week.
Overall I am prediciting a close game but I cannot say if we win then we would be favourites for anything as it never works that for us. However I do predict that if we win then I fancy us to draw Rangers at Ibrox for two reasons. 1st of all so that they could say if Celtic won then there would have been an Old firm derby but if we drew Rangers and got to the final we would have to play all of our ties in Glasgow.
Maybe i'm just being cynical.

Cheers, thought we played very well after you scored a very good goal to be honest and watching on, was a lot more comfortable than I ever thought it would be.
Really cant see how Rangers are second favourites for the cup, I think all the premiership clubs left in the competition would beat them in the Semi Final. They have got some good players but just don't think they are strong enough. Been wrong before though.

Awck they've had good draws so I suppose they've never been tested yet, I'm guessing the logic might be that they'll have home advantage in the Semi Finals.
I've been impressed with Peter Pawlett all season, the lad came back from St Johnstone a new player, really bulked up too, I felt Celtic's tactics were way off, Johansen isn't a ball winning workhorse so why he was in the engine room with Brown was beyond me, Robson and Flood dominated them.
If Aberdeen can win a cup or two then it might just give them the confidence to start being more consistsnt in the league and turn silly draws into wins, having said that, thats a big ask, the turn around in League form already from last few years has been brilliant.
Pawlett, Jack and Reynolds are surely due a call up.
