Music Cup Round 10 - Summer

It's the final round (crowd go oooooooh!)

And it's all still to play for, at present yours truly has a 6 point lead but as shown even my great musical choices sometimes backfire (seriously guys I still cannot believe the Dead Kennedys came last in the Punk round, shame on you all).

Hardest round to judge but based on the criteria of making me feel summery, I can discount a few on there.

The Bill Withers one I agree is an inspired choice (not mine), Club Tropicana too I think is a belter.

I believe that was the second incarnation of Bezerkers theme tune (or was it the third?) - it was the one I used for my entrances.

Wot no Beach Boys?! Shame on you.

Songs I thought of were Alright by Supergrass, The Only Way is Up by Yazz, Such a Good Feeling by Rozilla, and Young at Heart by the Bluebells. All make me smile and make me think that summer is just around the corner.

Some great choices though, and I've still not come to my final decision.

Nothing encapsulates the whole laughable pathetic-ness of this competition than York’s “On the beach” beating it’s superior original in the voting stakes, even if it was only by one.

No. No actually there is something… the fact that Good bloody Charlotte beat both versions!!!

I’m glad I finished bottom of the league because it proves that my music taste is the farthest removed from the cr@p music taste of this forum. Which is a good thing. It comforts me.

If you took every song that won a round and put it on a free download compilation – I wouldn’t even be ar$ed to click the button. I’d just pick “Summertime” by Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff.

Why don't you all just go away and listen to Radio One. And laugh at Chris Moyles and his "jokes".

Some of my favourite songs came nowhere - it was only when I picked more popular songs that I got any points (although I did like my picks but didnt think they were the best songs for the round)
