Cardiff City
Vincent Tan has told Mackay to either resign or he will be sacked.
There is no reason to sack Mackay, time for a fan revolt I think.

Worst owner in the world that one.
Will the FA ever wake up?

Re: Cardiff City
Mackay is an amazing manager, if this is true he should just quit and go to a better football club which he deserves.
2 years at Cardiff. Took them to Play offs, and Carling Cup Final. Then bossed the league last season and went up at Champions.
Pulled of some great wins this season, including Swansea and Man Citeh at home.
West Brom should 100% appoint him, mind you there owners seem like bellends as well for sacking Steve Clarke for doing a great job.

Joke of an owner. Why would he quit? I'm sure he'd be paid out much more if he was sacked.

Re: Cardiff City
It would do him an amazing credit to quit. He's top of the shortlist for so many clubs I reckon, one's with and without managers

Re: Cardiff City
Don't like Cardiff (sorry any Bluebirds out there) but MM has done an amazing job. They've got out of the hardest league in the world to get out of after years of collapsing at the final hurdle and seem to be on course to stay in the hardest league in the world to stay in. Doesn't deserve this sheize and neither do the fans. Blue to Red (imagine the furore if Everton or Citeh tried this?), head of player recruitment and close cohort of manager replaced by a YTS nobody, and an apparent leave or be pushed for saying he'd like to have 3 more players all because of an "overspend" for which Tan must have signed or OK'd the cheques.
Reports of a "household name" from another club already lined up to take over. Look forward to seeing Mr Muscle on board!
I respect that Mr Tan can do what he wants, it's his fortune and club but IMO he's making himself look like an utter knob. Wonder if he wants to rename the stadium Tan Can Alley.
Sorry

Re: Cardiff City
Tan has flown over and has yet to decide whether to sack him before or after the Liverpool game, surely he has to do before, it'd make no sense to do it after if Mackay knows he's gone.
I'm not sure why Tan thinks he'll be able to secure a "household" name from another club considering how shoddily they've treated the last manager and other employees.
Absolute shambles.

Is Neil Lennon being lined up to replace him? The BBC say:
"The target is understood to be a household name at another British club."

BBC's latest article has the line: "the manager is a high-profile name currently in work outside the UK."
Blurred lines between quotes. Which makes me think its Robin Thicke

Re: Cardiff City
i hope they do sack him and then spiral into relegation, this guy is a clown of the highest order and perhaps relegation may shift him. nothing against cardiff but you'll be better off in the long run without him
fit and proper test fails yet again, in fact has it actually ever stopped anybody. even dodgy frankie at city got through

Re: Cardiff City
Vincent Tan is a joke. The guy clearly knows nothing about Football, and the fans won't be happy and im sure there will be protests during the Liverpool game.

By household name Tan actually means...he is known in one single household & it's his! It's his window cleaner and friend of Tan's uncle!
Re: Cardiff City
An emergancy meeting has been called tonight after a member of the board pleaded with Tan to have a round of crisis talks.
