Three Realistic Transfer Targets This Window
By Tommy Kinsman.
With the transfer window about to open the rumour mill on the players making moves has begun in full force. Although most of the paper talk won’t turn into real transfers there are a handful of potential moves that look like they will most likely take place.
Cerci to Man Utd
The Italian wide man is very high on the list of targets for Moyes. The former Roma youth player has become a quality attacking midfielder at Torino. The Italian is keen to make the move to a side that can offer him Champions League football. The key driver for him is to solidify his place in the Italian World Cup squad heading to Brazil. Making the move to United would put in on a very big stage and allow him to shine.
Moyes is keen to sign Cerci as he would be an upgrade on Valencia in the wide right position and can also be used as striker when required. As Moyes looks to stamp his name on the United squad with this move the fans who have seen a conservative approach so far will be happy with such an attacking talent joining the squad.
Matic to Chelsea
The former Chelsea midfielder is highly tipped for a move back to Stamford Bridge. The box to box Serbian has the engine that Chelsea need, and will complement the Mourinho style of play.
Originally signed from FC Kocise in 2009, Matic only managed a handful of appearances before being moved to Benfica in the deal that brought Luiz to Chelsea in 2011. Since then the player has become sought after as one of the best midfielders in Europe.
The one potential problem with the deal is the current asking price. Benfica are looking for 40 Million Euros which may not seem over the top for someone of this quality but it is still unknown if the Chelsea owner will be happy to pay this much for someone they let go for so little.
Griezmann to Arsenal
The French striker has had a great first half of the season in La Liga with Sociedad. With 11 goals in 15 games, the prolific goal scorer has the ability to push Wenger’s side onto the championship.
With Wenger choosing not to play Podolski as a centre forward, Griezmann would be the perfect partner and support for Giroud. The young star would bring an extra level of flair and speed to the front line at Arsenal and will continue to follow Wenger’s policy of bringing in quality young players. Perhaps the only difference with this one is he is a lot closer to the finished article than some of the players brought in by the Frenchman in the past.

I would like to see Matic at Chelsea and Luke Shaw aswell.
I have felt for quite a long time that Luke Shaw could be the eventual replacement left back for Ashley Cole when he wants to leave or when he wants to retire.
