Please God let me Be Wrong
I am watching Old Skool Raw tonight, just watched the segment with Orton, Flair & Cena....
I noticed that Cole & JBL emphasised on how many titles each guy has won, saying more than once, that Cena is going for 15 and Flair is at 16...
I hope to god, that Cena and Orton, don't trade the title between now and Mania, and at Mania Cena gets MAGIC 17 .... the seeds are planted

I really don't want Cena to be on equal par with Flair. Don't me wrong, Cena is a workhorse for the company, but in terms of wrestling ability, he shouldn't be placed on the same pedestal as Flair. The Nature Boy is way above Cena in my opinion. At least one thing is certain, Cena will never have two Hall Of Fame rings :P

Don't get all the fuss about this tbh
Firstly the record held by Flair of 16 is only the WWE recognised record of Flair's reigns, counting only 8 of 10 NWA titles, 6 of 7 WCW titles and his 2 WWF reigns, this also ignores 3 NWA titles won in AJPW, CSW and ASPW, so Flair's record can actually stand between 16-21, you could also chuck in 2 WCW International World titles during the period of dispute between WCW and the NWA if you really felt like it.
Anyways back to the point, hopefully that last little point of random stats proves how arbitrary these records can be, Cena has been a work horse for WWE and top dog for nearly a decade, so if he breaks the record, more power to him, occasions like these are symptomatic of the current climate, no one seems to be tearing their hair out over Alberto Del Rio holding twice as many WWF/WWE World Titles as Randy Savage though, also The Great Khali has held as many World titles as Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, Ted DiBiasie and Curt Hennig combined!
One look at Flair in his 70-80's prime compared to Cena (even though I think he gets an unnecessarily hard time some times) will show who the superior performer is/was, you don't need a silly fictional record to make it so.
