First topic message reminder :
http://www.ausopen.com/en_AU/scores/schedule/schedule11.html
Monfils v Nadal is an intriguing match. La Monf has nothing to lose. Nadal in 4.
Murray v Lopez in the afternoon on HiSense is good test for Murray. Murray in 4.
Tsonga v Simon in the evening. Simon has the counterpunching to take Tsonga out. Simon in 5.
Raonic v Dimitrov. May be Raonic in 4 tight sets.
Nishikori in 3 v Young.
Federer v Gabashvili. Federer in 4.
Paire v Agut in 3. Klizan v Robert in 5.
Azarenka, MaSha, Woz, ARad should make it through after yesterday's close matches.

Well HB, since you haven't been able to keep abreast of things, here's a quick potted summary for you :
1. Weather-wise it's been a very hot tournament (I can vouch for this as I am in Melbourne myself) though mercifully has now cooled dramatically
2. Rafa tells us that every opponent is dangerous, I will try my best, no, and then proceeds to steamroll his way into the second week (albeit with the help of a retirement in R1 by the Aussie anti-hero Tomic) with minimal fuss.
3. Djokovic is looking very very good.
4. Delpo was blown out early to provide the headline writers with a first week upset story.
5. Murray arrived here in questionable form/fitness but as so often in the Slams is suddenly producing impressively high quality stuff.
6. Federer is .... well ....... Federer.
Er ......that's about it really.
Oh just to add ....... it really must be the AO, because Hewitt got the locals excited by getting himself into a 5 set scrap after dropping the first two, but eventually fell at the first hurdle, as has happened on six other of his previous AO campaigns. (He even conspired to fool us before the real business began by pulling off a rare win v Federer in the Brisbane warm-up .....)

Re: Australian Open: Day Six - 2014
thanks, hope you're well.
never made it to the AO myself. i went to melbourne once when i was doing my round the world trip and went and had a look around the grounds, but it was a few weeks after the tournament.
had originally planned to be there for the tournament, but had too much fun in africa.
