After having a bit of a break from competing in Football Leagues, The idea of a 2-Tier League System sounds really appealing to me, personally I'd love to start in the bottom division and work my way up...

However, I do have a few questions to ask before I consider rejoining...

Q - What kind of teams will be added to the team? Draft? Existing Teams From One League, or from multiple leagues?

Q - Length on Tactics, If it's short & sweet, including voting, I'd probably be up for getting involved

Guys from the Europa League and Previous Realistic Premier Leagues can vouch for my consistency

A1) Not finalised but it would most likely be either:
No players. You have a budget, say £100m & we do draft rounds to buy your players. So you bid on the player you want, you win or lose depending on others bids. Usualy get 2-3 draft rounds to build your squad.
OR
You get a budget. Say £125m. You the have to buy a club based on its TM Value. Say between min £65m-£100m max. The remaining money you use in one draft round to make additions.

A2) Tactics must list your weeks injuries, line up, subs, short team talk (3-4 lines) & then we say around max 15 lines of tactics.
Voting you list result, scorers, good & bad point for each team.

I would say if we are doing a two tire league, to insure voting isnt long & you have to vote on everything have it so League 1 votes on League 2 games & visa versa.
That way you should have 5/6 matches to vote on.

Although I much prefer having real teams involved within these kind of leagues, the idea of a draft does sound appealing. I'll probably mull things over and see what time I have to dedicate myself to the league. Thanks

Hate doing this, but with a restructuring at work and extra responsibilities for myself, I wont have the time to dedicate to running things in this league like I was hoping to continue doing. I also wont be picking up a new team, I'll just have to distance myself from this for a little bit.

If you have not played it then i would recommend it very much so. Quite frustrating with it's puzzles on occasions.

What are the numbers?

I think I am probably going to sit it out after all tbh. It was a moment of weakness the other day!

So we have decided:

- 2 tier league
- Initial draft


We now need to decide:

- Draft for players or team initially
- Injuries
- Releases/Transfermarket/TPs
- Budgets

ok cool, 2 tier defo good idea.

Oh and cup needs to be decided. Personally i would go with:

- 2 tier league, top 2 go up. Bottom 2 down. 4th in top league plays 3rd in bottom league with winner getting place in top league

- Initial draft for players with a focus on outside of Prem, Bundesliga and La Liga. £125 million budget

- Cup. 4 groups depending on number of teams. Focus on youth players. Basic tactics, high reward (as outlined on EuroDiv homepage a few days ago)

- Injuries - 4 a week, 1 can be chosen to play max 45 minutes however if he does he has a 1/2 chance of being injured again the following week

- Releases - No releases, can nominate players to be "Transfermarketed". Offers for these will be TM value -25%. Must be accepted, however if a team in the league matches the value they get the player no questions asked. maximum 1 nominated per week

- "Lawyers" - Max 2 offers per week (1 if no one "transfermarketed"). Randomly selected to be -25%, =to or +25% TM value

- "Foreigns" - Players to be bought at TM value. Increase maximum value by £500k every week. Starting at £8 million. Increase changes as we do now

- Tactics - league, as we are now. Cup - as with Europa League's Cup

I reckon cup should be introduced the following season depending on how well first season has done. Don't like the cap on having certain youth or nationality or some sort of requirement for the cup. 

Two tier league is not easy, it's all fun when we start a league but it takes a lot of hard work and if we lose a manager a new needs to be bought in soon as possible.

yeah i agree about the cup viva... i wouldn't start that in the first season

Although I'm not taking part, from experience running these things, I would advise against making anything too complicated.

The most successful leagues are those that keep it simple i.e. I would steer well clear of the proposed changes to releases, injuries and lawyers. The only change I would make is that a release is exactly that. The player goes, you get no money, potentially even make it so that it costs you to release. Therefore you are only releasing to free up squad space

I would like a transfer window.
Say the season 10 weeks long. Window open gameweek 1-3. Closed 4-7. Open 7-10.
3 weeks open, 4 closed, 3 open.
Something liek this.

based on the above. With a limit of 2 transfers a week that give max 6 foreign tps before the window closes for 4 weeks.

Hopefully this should give an increase in deals within the league.

It won't work ZZZ. People will just save their money up through them weeks for their target. Going to take a while to get everyone's in consider more sides this season.

Personally i prefer Drafting a team, A lot of hassle trying to go through 4 drafts for players.

I would like it but not fussed either way.

Id prefer to draft a team then players.
I say that as with players you pretty much get the squad you want from the start. With a team you will want to make transfers & changes & with 2 TP a week it should encorage some deals early on.

ZZZ is right in principle about a transfer window, but it wont work on a league like this where interest needs to be kept as high as possible.

Also would recommend not going too in-depth with injuries as maintaining who played 45 mins the previous week as the season goes on will be harder and harder.

So then, just to clarify, am I still allowed in the league?

I do have the metal to admit it, I'd just prefer to keep people guessing for now because I could prove people wrong to who I actually am. You may have different opinions on me later. Instead of judging me all the time.

well it was obvious lol, as i pointed out straight away, on realistic prem page!

I've got no issue with you mate but I've heard stuff that you mess about in other leagues and you change stuff etc. I have no problem with people joining but if you joining makes other people leave then I'm afraid it's going to be difficult for you to join. 

Let's wait and see what happens and what everyone's views are, by Tuesday we should be starting the new league.
