Finishing Moves...
Hey all,
I was thinking (shocking i know) and i just wanted to post a sort of fun and thought provoking topic to do with finishing moves.
Now we all love a good finishing move don't we surely?
Weather it be a good old Stone Cold Stunner or the Ankle Lock.
I'm going to ask you to pick your top 5 finishing moves, they can be any type and feel free to add reasons for your choices.
Mine:
1). The Rock Bottom - The reason is because i just think it can be hit quite quickly and it just looks like it would hurt!
2). Tombstone Piledriver - This would hurt if real too, very good looking move aswell!
3). Stunner - Obviously a fantastic move that can be hit from anywhere as proven by our very own Stone Cold!
4). Walls of Jericho - Now theres no question if this was real it would hurt you quite badly, lets be honest..It looks good too!
5). 450 Splash - Looks good and is a fun move. Unrealistic in the sense that it would take ages to prepare for etc though!
Well theres mine, was quite hard to choose the top 5 for me! I like so many finishing moves.
Over to you.

Re: Finishing Moves...
Ok Miky my man, Ill put my two sents in
5. Legdrop of doom - yes I said it, ok so its not a move that would really hurt anybody but when Hogan does it its magical all the same
4.Texas Cloverleaf - my favourite submission, better than a sharpshooter. run a close second by crossface chicken wing tho
3.Stunner/Diamond cutter/RKO - all pretty much the same move, but a good one none the less
2. Jacknife powerbomb......ah Kevin Nash wcw.....good times
1. Go to Sleep - Punk may have stole it from Kenta, but he couldnt have choose a better move to steal, the knee to face impact looks awesome
honerable mentions to - Razor's Edge, Piledriver, flying forearm and back stabber

Re: Finishing Moves...
Brock Lesnar's F5 - Just looked brutal every time
Ankle Lock - Went through a phase when Angle was using it of trying to slap it on anybody i was around and screaming Whoo, ahh happy days!
Rock Bottom - Love it
Sweet Chin Music - not when he was striking up the band for about ten minutes before delivering it but when it was hit from out of nowhere it looked like legitimately the one on the receiving end would be out cold
Spear/ Gore- Goldbergs spear and Rhinos gore also looked like they really hurt, spear from Edge not so much.

The Gore was brilliant but mainly for Paul Heyman to scream GORE! GORE! GORE!

Re: Finishing Moves...
Josh, well said mate. Heyman sold that move so well. There is a Gore that Rhyno hits on Tajiri at the top of the ramp on an old episode of Raw. He completely destroys the little fella

Re: Finishing Moves...
I'm surprised so many people are saying the Rock Bottom. I think it's a really weak finishing move. It's just a side slam. It never looked to me like The Rock would actually be able to lift the opponent in that position; it was always obvious they were just jumping up in the air (similar to a chokeslam). Also it used to take ages to set up. I thought it looked really contrived and not natural.
I don't think anyone would think it was a great finishing move if it had been Bull Buchanan's, or Mark Jindrak's, or Rob Conway's. It's not a move you'd see on its own and say "wow, what a move".
If I was ranking finishing moves on how cool or impressive they were, it would be around the Legdrop and the Attitude Adjustment, near the bottom (no pun intended).

Re: Finishing Moves...
Have to reinforce Steve's shout on Doug William's Chaos Theory - fantastic move (if a bit unrealistic).
