Remaining budget + 25m for player drafts (max of 10 players allowed to be brought in each to have a max TM value of 10m). Players from English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and German Bundesliga are NOT allowed to be picked.
Then another 25m for the star player draft for a player worth a max of 20m on TM, any player upto this value is allowed

Not a big fan of Lucarelli or Paletta to be completely honest, but out of the two, Lucarelli.
I haven't put Carvalho in my squad, even though I "officially" won him

Why do you feel the need to comment? I'm only asking a simple question. Me and a couple others make a World Cup league, get some members and then run and enjoy the league. Simple. You don't need to comment on that. I don't like you, you won't like me, what is the obvious thing to do?

No. I'm peaking my chance and thinking of plans to rebuild a poorly constructed side by next week, its tough though with work. Guess who I'm talking about.
Thank you GSC!

i wont be dropping out, i like the format of this league and the fact that you get to effectively build a squad from near enough scratch.

You really must have burnt a few bridges in the past FootballLight.
I can't see anything wrong with things you are posting, but it does seem to rub some managers up the wrong way.

Evening all.
What have I missed? How are the drafts going?
Are you all happy with who you have got?
If you could pick one player from another team as the one to watch, who would it be? By this I mean a more unknown player who will rise to prominence.

I'm happy with my drafts so far, I didn't think that i would lose out on as many players as i did but i don't mind.
I'm sending another set in tonight (second round of drafts).

Burnt more bridges than you can count it seems. Fan, me and him have a long history, its not a story we want to bring up again. CF, I don't really know what he has against me. He is surely no worse than what I am.
Marky said he may be interested in helping with some of the running in the league and we could both take a team. Just want to start a WC league to make sure we please the majority and don't leave people out. But it seems a lot of people are content with just one league, so it might be something worth waiting on, unless interest builds up.

Good work so far Miky
Out of the "unknowns" I really like Klaasens at Ajax whilst signing wise, I think GSC could have got a real bargain with Cristante.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Sounds like you need to set up a whole new forum, let alone league FootballLight.
Thanks for the invite but not for me either. I've been doing these leagues for a ling time now and I'm trying to step away from a bit. If I rejoined, it would only be for this league and the folks on here.

I have no interest in running a World Cup league, or any league, I said I have interest in running a World Cup 2014 tournament similar to the one I ran for Euro 2012. Bit of a difference.

no actually LRF you cannot even compare me to you, you have been kicked out of leagues cos folk just think your a nob, I could go into it but I wont, the fact you aint on ja606 any more shows what people think of you, you are not welcome on 3/4 leagues over there and its all your own doing..you brought it on yourself, so dont try come here and pretend your a victim when your not, you have already started your sheite here, now do me and everyone else a favour and just f off

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I believe the star player budget has to be spent on a star player with the change going into your budget to start the season. Your star player could be a £1m bid for a £1m player if you really wanted to.

I get confused on who I manage Gala or Ferna. I own a fake Gala top in real life from 04/05 season with Frank De Bouer on the back, I don't think he even played for them.

Oh by the way Marky you suck balls, I seen you retweet the Ronaldo deal, I did a dance told my friends sent my brother the tweet until he replied back saying its a parody account.

I originally fell for it (even letting out a big "no way!") until I remembered I followed a couple of parody accounts. The previous tweet was Messi missing the Man City game with injury!

I'll have to double check next time before I get excited. The last time I felt like this was when City were drawing with QPR on the final day two seasons ago.
Re: N.E.D. Social Area
AGUERO!
Have a feeling City will miss him badly tomorrow. As if playing Barca wasn't tough enough.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I know that Manchester City are an amazing team and they play brilliant football and i have seen quite a few of their games this year Marky but I watched Barcelona play on Saturday night albeit against one of the bottom clubs (all due respect to Rayo Vallecano) but the way that Barcelona play is just amazing, beautiful football and clinical too. Saying that Manchester City have been clinical this season too and they are capable of scoring plenty of goals.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
yeah its a long night
so we all happy with 1st round drafts?
William Carvalho - very happy, maybe not start as first choice depends on 2nd draft
Fabinho - good back up for Cassani
Domenico Berardi - delighted, 1st choice RW
Kurt Zouma - very happy, 1st choice CB
Memphis Depay - Back up to star buy
Will Hughes - See how he goes irl, bit of a gamble really
Thorgan Hazard a bit gutted to lose out on

I also believe that they can. I guess all i said in that paragraph in the end was that both teams are amazing and it will be intriguing to see who wins.
Kelvin - Happy with Kelvin for sure, promising player and his price could rise.
Maxwell - Rebidding currently going on but i'm excited about him for sure.
Dedé - Quality Central defender who i am happy with again, he can partner Umtiti very well.

I watched Barca play Valencia and by their standards they were pretty pedestrian.
If City come out and play it wouldn't surprise me at all if they won handily.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
You've got some real good players Fan. I had Maxwell in my side in the previous league and he wasn't rated that much.
I can't see City stopping Barca from scoring but the team is good enough to win, Aguero would definitely make a big difference.

My recruits so far;
Maher - only 20 but he's already a vet of these games now and one of the most sought players going usually.
Hazard - Fan was gutted to miss out on him and Fan knows his bacon
http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/espnfcunited/id/12020?cc=5739
Piazon - for me the best player so far this season in the Eredivisie, fantastic assist rate. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1896064-a-half-term-report-on-chelseas-vitesse-loanee-lucas-piazon
Batshuayi - oh Michy you're so fine! The latest Belgian uber striker, 21 goals so far this season and linked with Everton and Arsenal
Allan - cannot believe I was the only person to bid for Allan, he's going to be huge. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1830845-transfer-scout-allan-is-the-player-the-epl-big-guns-should-target-in-janaury
