3rd drafts in: 18:00 Thursday 20th Feb
3rd draft results: "Evening" Thursday 18th Feb

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
From the outside looking in, it feels like it has become a competition on who can draft the best "unknown" future star, rather than who can get the best players to build a team.
It has gone a bit overboard on signing players who will be good in a year or so's time.

Anyone seen that Rowan Cheshire skier girl with her face all smashed up? I still would.
This is where I miss Azzy most. He'd have been all over this.
It has all the ingredients; 18 year old female, sport, battered face.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
1. Which player were you gutted to miss out on that you lost on a bid (if you did indeed lose)?
Lucas Piazon
2. Which player were you most happy to get?
Tied between Wallace and Fernando
3. Which player that someone else got were you most jealous of?
CF getting Pirlo, I didn't bid because I went for Ganso who is cheaper.
4. Which player that someone else got had you totally forgot about and regret it?
No-one really, didn't forget anyone.
5. Which player purchase had you scratching your head wondering why?
None really, who am I to question another manager's judgement?
6. Which manager did the best from the first draft?

Announcement
Due to one of the runners being a touch incompetent Nando's bids have been revised (back to what they actually were!)
Darijo Srna - £9.2 million - STILL Nando's player
Gianluigi Buffon - £5 million - NO LONGER TOP BIDDER, VIVA can confirm for £6 million if he wishes
Andrea Pirlo - £8 million - STILL CF's player
His remaining bids were correct, the only player this changes is BUFFON

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
It has been noted by the Euro Division Protection Society that there is far too much football talk than is healthy for this league.
We offer the benefit of a doubt that this is an oversight, but to encourage proper Euro Division debate, we offer the following question:
Which would make a better variation of Curling. Replacing the stones with a) snow mobiles or b) dwarves?

Dwarves wouldn't really change the game much. Snow mobiles is just silly.
They should have various powerplay stones, like one which sticks in place, one with rocket boosts, swapping the opponents stone with a glass one

Snow mobiles is really variable as whoever drives the last stone, should always win. Dwarves could change the game if they were allowed to move. You'd have to get agreeable dwarves, rather than cross ones who would just get up and walk off.
But I like your idea. You could have an exploding one that just destroy all other stones in a certain radius

What about if the rink(what do they call it?) is on a kind of see saw and you had to balance it as much as you could

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
The final stone counts as double points, like a wild card stone. And dwarves would be funny for about 10 minutes, then it would just be curling again.

So you just have dwarves for the warm up before introducing the holes and exploding stones for the actual match

You know that Cross Country skiing with shooting.
Would it be too much to make them do it in the dark and put the crowd behind the targets?

Rather than the skeleton and bobsleigh crap they should have proper old school sledging, everyone at the top of a big hill, dustbin lids, binbag and boxes and just go for it trying to avoid the dog eating snowballs on the way down.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Just to clarify:
My visualisation above has a dog that eats snowballs.
Not a number of snowballs that eat dogs.
But that would make it more awesome.

How about with the Speed Skating, they have to do it in slippers?
And the half pipe, they have to land on their heads...oh wait, Rowan Cheshire's already done that
