The Welsh Exiles Empty The Welsh Exiles

Post by bedfordwelsh Sat 15 Feb 2014, 11:54 am

We know that Gatland has released a few players back to their Regions this weekend but what about our foreign brigade do we know if and who has gone back to their clubs, have they all gone or just some?

Paul James is starting for Bath this weekend. In Fact all of the looseheads in the welsh camp are.

Yes Mike on the bench. Hook starting at 15 while Charteris must be in Wales.

He barely played 20 minutes. He looks fine (so does Sexton)

Hook scored 14 points from the boot for Perp but at XV again so see its not just Gats who doesn't select him at 10.

He has played plenty of fly half at USAP. He is great bench cover for us.

More interesting will be to see how Biggar and Webb go this afternoon.

I would have liked Gatland to release Lydiate too for this match.

If Racing wanted him then surely he would have had to let him go or is his contract full release to?

The way Lydiate is playing now i bet his club are happy to amend his contract to full release if required, shocking performances.

He still topped list of most tackles made last week didn't he? Problem being most probably topped list of most pens given away as well.

I don't think Lydiate can be singled out, the pack had a bad day not him.

Two weeks of contemplation, hard work and some retrospective thought will do them all some good.

You don't become a bad team over night.

Trotting out the cliches aren't you

Lydiate gave away how many penalties?
2 weeks of contemplation, hard work and thought…..i'd say 2 weeks of line out drills, tackling and having ballistic objects inserted somewhere might help
we did become a bad team overnight- we were Champions, we didt lose a close fought game, we were hammered and have everything to do to regain respect.

I wasn't sure of what his agreed contract terms were, but I found this report from last year, stating from Jamie Roberts in regards to both he and Lydiate that, ""We're available for all training and all matches, I had to make sure I was still available for Wales and I did do that."
And I know myself and Dan have ensured that with Racing Metro."
Former Newport Gwent Dragons flanker Lydiate had earlier stated: "I had to make sure I was still available for Wales and I did do that."
