Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Anyone watching this?
It's getting embarrassing for Treviso now,
61 - 7 with 15 minutes still left to play (and Treviso down to 14 for another 5 minutes)

Also, how on earth is Biggar still being overlooked for Wales?!

Ospreys are finding support players with closed eyes...
Reminds me of Glasgow against the Dragons last year.

Ospreys backs confidence is sky high while Treviso are just going through the motions - it gets worse for them as time goes on.
Ryan Jones takes it to 10 tries

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
It did not look like it was going to be for the first 10mins but turned out to be very entertaining for the non Treviso supporters. Some top performances including all the half backs unlike the Wales halfbacks. At least we (Wales) had two good performances this weekend, I suspect the Blues will sign Williams the Treviso wing as his tackling will fit in with the Blues.
Will Gatland take any nitice of any of the performances today, I doubt it we will have to put up with Preistland and Phillips.

Fair play no wonder a lot of clubs are after Morgan, he has a touch of brilliance about him. Would be a great signing for the Dragons. Sam Davies looked good as well.
Best i've ever seen Spratt play, though he should have been MOM.

The Ospreys got two very quick tries and Treviso basically caved. While also the Ospreys threw loads of 50/50 and miracle balls and they all seemed to work, even the ones where the Ospreys players seemed to throw it anywhere.
It's' quite sad actually only 5,000 people turned up to watch the game and despite the rout the atmosphere was dead, dont get me wrong the people leaving the stadium were happy but it was totally lifeless with so few people in the stadium.
Still the boys did fantastic thats one of the best they have ever played!

Very similar to Glasgow at Rodney Parade last year, Ospreys clicked and Treviso didn't fight much after 30 min, they are without a real head coach and it showed.
They also had 5 or 6 permit players to make up for their small squad and players away with Italy.
First time i've seen him play but Dan Baker looks like the real deal for the Ospreys in the back row.

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Cheers for the write up.
Might try and catch ScrumV tonight for all the tries!
Shame about the atmosphere, you'd have thought even with 5,000 a score line like that would have had the liberty bouncing!

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
It was 0-0 after 20 mins. Floodgates after the first try. Every player had a great game. Natoga was sublime and responsible for at least half the tries. The subs too. MM, dirky, Old man Jones. Superb bp win..

Oh the fans were happy, dont get me wrong, but when were all so spaced apart its hard to get any kind of atmosphere. If your sat with just your family there and empty seats all around you, your hardly likely to jump to your feet and start an Ospreys chant.
Rugby wise though, we were fantastic, one of the best performances for a long time, maybe since we smashed Munster by 45 points or beat Tolouse. In fact its only the second time I have left the Liberty in a good mood this season, the other good effort we put in was a rout of Edinburgh.

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Looked more like a training game for the Ospreys. still some young and up and coming Welsh players got a chance to shine. Most of the Ospreys got on the score sheet.
Not sure and how too rate the performance of Dan Biggar is this game.
Still a good win for the Ospreys. well done.

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Are people getting why we're not worried about their threat to leave now?
Treviso have gotten worse- they are now not as good a team they were as when they joined. Aironi are obviously bust- Zebre are the same as when they were set up. The Italians aren't progressing as we would like, they aren't bringing much income to the league... and the financial side isn't working for them either.

Yep well, if he breaking lines and scoring tries the way he does then i wouldm't care if he was 4ft 6 stone wet. He is a true rugby player with a gift. Shane Williams hmmmmmm can't recall him either

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Ryan Jones dive was rrrrrealy bad. :-)
But on a serious note... You can only play what's in front of you, as all the pundits like to remind us. So well done Ospreys for not just winning but ensuring they kept racking up the scores. However, I'm really disappointed with Treviso. They may be pulling out of the Pro12, but they could at least continue to field a competitive side for the rest of the season, or they're remaining games will be farsicle and could skew the results in the business end of the league.

When we play the Ospreys, after Adam and AW Jones the first player I look for on the team sheet is Morgan. I really, really would rather that he doesn't play against us and I find his general lack of game time absolutely crazy. Every time I watch him, he scores.

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
Some spectacular running rugby from the Ospreys but that was probably the weakest team ever fielded by any side in the Rabo!
According the commentator Treviso had 14 first team players missing and had half a dozen permit players from the Italian leauge playing.
Fair play to the Ospreys for cashing in and boosting their points difference, but you can't read anything into the performance.

Not really comparable though. You still had players who train day in day out with the squad. Not like the Treviso guys who probably only really trained together that week.

Re: Ospreys 75 - 7 Treviso
I thought that the majority of the Ospreys players were released by Wales and played in this game: Biggar, Webb, Bevington, Beck, Baker, Ryan? That just leaves: Adam and Alan Wyn Jones, Hibbard and Tipuric? Which is four.
And as Rev said: The Ospreys team was all Ospreys squad members and full time rugby players not permit players from Vardre Seconds!

And they were missing the U20s kids, U18s etc, the 7s lads and the injured etc. They add up the numbers too.
But like you say realistically the ospreys team was far more recognisable than the Treviso side.
