House of cards
anybody been watching this?
always been a spacey fan (se7en and usual suspects two of my favourite films) so gave this a go.
thought it started very slowly but gave it a chance and it was worth it, in second season now and really enjoying it

Re: House of cards
I'm three episodes into the second season. I loved the original, and am enjoying this as well. I think Robin Wright's brilliant in it.

Re: House of cards
House Of Cards is freaking awesome, shame I finished the second season in 4 days
Kevin Spacey is a phenomenal actor!
I usually hate political shows or anything to do with politics as its boring and just a bunch of lies. But this show has a very clever way grasping the concept.
Response to your spoiler Rich.

- Yes same here, I actually ended up shouting at the screen "NO!" I was very very surprised that they killed off a important character in the very first episode of the season! Have to also say on that episode I really liked the moment Frank talks to the audience as he looks at the mirror, that speech is awesome, with the whole "Welcome Back" thing. Finally the last shot of that episode is genius with the cuff-links spelling out not only Frank's initials but also a very direct message from him to the audience!

- season two spoiler:
- yeah it did shock me, without blowing my own trumpet too much i normally guess things quickly and very rarely get caught out but didnt see that one coming. i know he had shown his ruthless streak with russo (something which i saw coming a mile off) but still thought she had a big part to play with her trying to unravel the conspiracy. i thought a lot of this season would be that story line so caught me off guard when it was pretty much done with in the first episode

Re: House of cards
Just finished Season 3. As a fan of the original I was wondering if this adaptation would follow the same premise....kind of disappointed that it didn't but am delighted that it's going to carry on (possibly taking a few more seasons to reach the same conclusion as the British version).
In a recent interview, Spacey said he'd like it to go on for as long as possible. It's one of the better shows on TV, shame I'll have to wait til next year to see any more
