tough task for yorkshire this week, missing the england lions and bresnan and mcgrath out and against a side with plenty of first class and international experiance. At the moment this is reflected on the score card hopefully we'll perform well in the second innings and salvage something from the game.

What do other yorkshire fans expect from this season? Personally i'm hoping for survival in the 1st division, maturity and development from the players who have had a few seasons around the first team (patterson, gale, rashid, lyth, sayers, pyrah) good starts from the very inexperienced players (root and ballance) and plenty from our senior guys (mcgrath, bresnan, brophy, shahzad, sidebottom). Not everyone will perform all the time but steps in the right direction are important

One thing I've noticed is that Lyth hasn't progressed as much as was hoped. He was frequently being talked of as a possible England player but this season he's got quite a modest record...

Another century from Bairstow. The man can bat
