As your opponent GSC am I to assume you didn't get tactics in? So if you're taking over FL you can do tactics asap and I'm happy to allow our game to happen rather than me getting a default win.

Sorry that I haven't been on. Haven't caught up to date with everything yet. When is it that tactics have to be in? When are games? Can someone just run through the basics once more please as it seems this league has changed over the last month or two since I've been away in Nigeria.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I think tactics deadlines are Friday now. Transfers must be completed on Thursday to play in the weeks games
4 injuries per week
3 lawyers, one must be accepted or sold within the league per week
2 TPs per week, limit is 6.5m, rises 500k each week. No players from the EPL, Bundesliga or La Liga

Ok thanks. I won't be able to do tactics today unfortunately. Football, got to finish a report on Nigeria for my new research and for my co-workers and I'm at a special party from 7 onwards.

Ronaldo has said the referee made a lot of mistakes in the Clasico and Barcelona seemed to get the rub of the green on his decisions.
But he fails to mention that the penalty he won was outside the box...

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I would say that Ronaldo's penalty was the least dodgy of the penalty decisions, although it was definately outside the box. But the TV guys had to slow it down loads of times to be sure it was outside the box.
The second Barca penalty I could understand as well as Alonso definately came across him, although Iniesta did go down like he'd been shot.
But that first Barca penalty was daft. From first view, it looked obvious Ramos had not even touched him. It was that penalty and red card that decided the game.
But what a game!!!

I didn't like the red card but I thought it was a penalty. I could see contact on his leg that would have unbalanced him at that speed.
Ronaldo was defintely fouled but he mentions the refs performance as if it was all for Barca when it wasn't.
Pepe's assisted headbutt was great though.
Busquets remains a deeply unpleasant individual.

For me El Clasico's cheating and pathetic actions cancels out the world class football, it doesn't even appeal to me anymore.
I didn't need to watch to know Messi and Ronaldo scored, Xavi had a high pass completion percentage, Busquets/Pepe and a few others had a coming together and both sides complained about the other side diving. Am I far off?

No.
Ramos got the 19th red card of his career too. That's a big feat the more I think about it...

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Pepe got booked, Ramos sent off, Xavi was terrible and Barca didn't really have much possession at all until after the sending off.
Real were the best side and should have been clear before the sending off. Supposedly it was Messi magic that won it, although two of his goals were penalties.
Barca did well to keep Ronaldo quiet, Benzema should have scored 5 or 6 and the best player on the pitch for me was Di Maria

I don't think it was as bad as previous matches in terms of the going on's and behaviour.
It was a great game to watch. Not high class as the real big names didn't have their best games, but a really entertaining match. Decided by penalty decisions though.

Plus Rooney fouled the defender before his goal
It was a great hit, but not as good as Beckham's or even Figueroa's. In fact, there was one this weekend from the Australian league that was better technically and from further out than Rooney's.

Tettey's was a great strike. But I have a theory behind it.
Have you ever played football with a special kid? Because every now and then they'd swing their leg and connect to score an absolute rasper. It's like that. He won't do it again, it was mong power.

Tettey's was a great strike.
El Clasico does make me realise that neither of them could defend. Carvajal was nowhere for Iniesta's goal, Benzema had time in the box to be able to control it on his thigh and hit the volley.
I also think there must be a highly trained sniper in Madrid, because as well as Iniesta being shot for the penalty, I pretty sure he took out Fabregas and Pepe with a single shot, just after Messi's first.

Hey Tettey scored a screamer against Doncaster last year, so he has form of one a season

Was that Pepe's assisted headbutt on Fabregas? That was great. I don't know who thundered in and shoved them but they had their heads together and Pepe's face was used as a battering ram.

That's the one. Was hilarious, coz they are busying fronting up to each other and there's a massive cluster of players and Pepe and Fabregas suddenly fall out of opposite sides of the cluster.
Didn't notice that it was an assisted headbutt though. Might have to try and find that on Youtube

How long before a footballer blades to try and get someone sent off?

Beckham's was pre-meditated, Rooney's was instinctive. I personally think to pre-meditate and then lob the goalkeeper is better than instinctively half volleying and bamboozling the goalkeeper.

Rooney's goal looked like it was on the PlayStation and cherries had hacked the goalkeeper.
If Adrian knew left from right he makes an easy catch.

Don't forget that Beckham hit it perfectly so it dropped over the keeper and into the goal, with the keeper never having a chance of getting to it. Rooney's bounced (nearly bounced over) and the keeper could have and should have done better. If he had not ballsed it up, Adrian could have caught that in his midriff

I'd go with Rooney's as well, he had far less time on the ball and it was harder to control whilst Beck's had the time to set up and it was from the floor.

Rooney's goal has been spoken as being the best goal ever! Considering Zlatan did the same thing last year except it wasn't a half volley, it was an overhead kick about 6ft off the ground suggests otherwise.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
The reason why the keeper was bamboozled is because he didn't expect Rooney to hit the ball from that distance and lost his bearings.
I've got 22 pounds in my Xbox account and thought I'd ask you guys if you want it, I did ask Azzy he hasn't replied to me yet I can get it transfered via gift card I think.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
It's like Xabi Alonso's when he scored from his own half. Miraculous that it went in, but it was a crap goal. It was rolling along the floor so slowly it barely made the net ripple.
We have to take the keeper being a spacker into the equation. It knocks points off for Rooney's surely.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
What people remember from Beckham's is that he was for the most part an unknown kid at the time and the goal then set him off to global stardom. Rooney meanwhile is already a seasoned pro and a global name so Rooney's won't have the same longevity.
I was at the Man Utd museum yesterday with my boys and there's a whole section dedicated to Beckham and part of it is about that goal.

In both goals the keeper is at fault for their positioning too far out, Beckham though was unopposed, the ball was easier to control, technically the Rooney shot was far harder to pull off due to the bounce of the ball and the timing being far shorter.

But Rooney didn't hit it that well. If it had sailed into the goal and left Adrian no chance, I'd agree with you, but it didn't
Sullivan was off his line, but he never stood a chance. Adrian was off his line, but should still have got to it.
