No, it is not playing any tricks on you. There are separate instances, one against a certain Mr. Edmondson (of recent AO Championship fame) who was up 2 sets to love @1977 W, another against Amritraj in 1979 (that too a fourth set must-win TB for Borg - H-n refers to this one quite often). The more spectacular one is Victor Amaya in 1978 R1.
The pre-cursor - http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1817&dat=19790618&id=oS8dAAAAIBAJ&sjid=Bp4EAAAAIBAJ&pg=6769,4846967
The match - In 1978 Amaya led Borg, two sets to one and 3-1, 40-30, but let him escape in five sets.

There are some later ones against Gerulaitis and Connors which are much more famous.

Re: Indian Wells 2014 - 12 March
So Federer dispatches Anderson in little more than an hour.
These far younger, bigger, harder-hitting guys really should be giving the old man a sterner examination.
Bogbrush commented yesterday that "I think Federer looks rubbish"
Ok, he might not be favourite to regain the title he last won here in 2012 (after knocking out Rafa in the semis IIRC) But it must seem a particularly unpleasant sort of rubbish to the likes of Mathieu, Tursunov, Haas, and now Anderson - all of whom fell to Fed this week, AND without managing to take even a solitary set between them ........
Big server Anderson even got a breadstick into the bargain.
laverfan : thanks for Bjorn B links

True, I did, though that was before the Haas match in which I thought him much improved. I didn't see last nights match but unless Anderson was awful he must have carried on.
I really enjoyed the Haas match for the aggression and hitting, of both guys - takes two to make great rallies.
