I'm just in the door from a memorable weekend of rugby. Ireland winning the 6N, BOD retiring and Scotland got bashed in Cardiff.
Just putting it out there, the city of Cardiff and the millenium stadium is the best rugby venue I have ever been to. The people were fantastic, the atmosphere was fantastic, everyone was lovely, simply put I had such a great weekend Hogg's red card and our demolition was al but forgotten after an hour.
I don't know if it matters to you guys or not, but that was one of the best experiences of my life. I loved your city and the people in it.

Class post. Glad you had a good time despite the result
The environment around here doesn't always do the game justice but in the real world, in the city centre on matchday the spirit is still alive and well. As, I'm sure, is the case in most stadia, no matter how many wums/keyboard warriors a given host nation produces

My greatest days were the 'Scottish Tour' along with 49,999 other Welshmen, even if I did not have a ticket getting to a pub in the Capital and drinking with the locals was amazing.

Yes I agree with the OP a great place for rugby. I was at the Wales v France game & loved the atmosphere & fans.
It's a shame a few welsh posters on this forum aren't more representative of the real fans in the city.

Trev,
You said it yourself - posters/real fans etc. Then again that can be said for most Nations on here people are happy to hide behind the anonimity of the interweb.

Great post.
I lived in Cardiff for ten years and it's a lovely, compact, friendly little city. Ideal for going out before/after a game.
I've still got bad memories of Henson's winning kick while watching in the City Arms though.
