Woren a scrum cap but depends on the game conditions really and sometimes where I'm playing. usually just a bit of vaseline around the ears now!

Usually this sort of comp only lasts one season. Depends really. After todays talk really tempted to kick start the old Aviva league, but of course that depends on numbers! But in between that we could run another Season/league like this

Maybe centre now that Williams is injured, mate. Failing that another winger? Or could try Barrett, Folau, Piutau back three, that would be fun

Re: Super League Homepage
Do you guys not rate Williams then? Or just because of his injury?
I'm not too unhappy with Guildford, but was thinking of starting Barrett at FB was just unsure how he would be rated
Also looking at lock cover, bit thin there

Guildford fine though not a world beater, I rate Barrett at 10 and 15 but not sure about others.
I also like Williams but he's not a "class" enough player to hold form if he's out injured for long

Beale at 12 looks worth a watch, wonder if it keeps working, some really interesting experiments in the S15 ATM. Hear Piutau might get a game at 12 next week, would would be odd,

Considering the Blues have Saili, Nonu and Marshall it seems odd to play their best back 3 player there

I'm a big Guildford fan, but he's hard to rate on here without much game time and no ABs for a while. Good player though.

Re: Super League Homepage
Guys I'm not going to be giving full length predos and not that proactive for the next couple of weeks with the run into exams, still feel free to propose any trades and I'll try and answer them though, just apologies in advance for short predictions. I'll also only be watching the Eng-Wales match with vague following of the other 6N matches in the background so please understand if I'm not up to scratch on Supee rugby form! I usually watch the highlights of all the competitions matches but I'll struggle with that until June really, where I hope to see some live S15 in Australia post elective.
Sorry! I'll try and keep the tactics decent though

Re: Super League Homepage
Guys,
What's happening with this game is it going to happen for a 2nd season? It's just if it's a one season game it's pretty meaningless for me to continue being 2nd bottom and in no hope of challenging for the league.
I'v always been keen on the idea of a two tier game with 6 teams in each tier and 6 in the bottom.
Here is the way it would work though.
- Each team plays each other home and away so 12 games over the seasons.
- Top 2 in top league play each other H&A in end of season final , Bottom team is relegated , two teams above in a relegation play off with loser relegated.
- Winner of tier 2 goes up with 2 & 3 having a home and away play off.
To make it fair with Transfers
- Tier one sides will recieve a smaller budget compared to Tier two sides.
- Tier one sides will be allowed 3 transfers over the season whilst tier 2 get 5 and have they're window a week before the tier one sides.
Points will be awarded in the six nations format in Tiers for the first half of the season and Bonus points in the 2nd half to ensure things are kept tight at half way stage. (I may consider a point for finishing with in 7 points in a match)
They will be some sort of home grown rule i'm just not 100% sure on what it will be yet.
Thoughts on this guys

As losing BPs are more common than TBPs, would having no BPs in the first half of the season make it closer?

Not sure we got the budgets right to be honest. I think the table is pretty reflective of the order of the draft isn't it?

I'll smash up a homepage later on just to keep people updated on it.
One other thing would be that Tier one managers would predict tier 2 games and vice versa.

Still Cups to win this week, and I'd like to go for another season if there is time, could do stuff like a team swap (reassign managers to different teams etc) and stuff?

Re: Super League Homepage
Or could do some sort of dispersal type thing
Eg - can keep one player from each position group (front row, locks, back row, halfbacks, centres, back 3) rest of squad goes into a draft?
Could be a long draft but would mix up the squads!

Keep them coming!
I reckon we would need to decide whether we are going with something like Driver's proposal, or same format as this year but moving players around en masse
Once we decide that we can look into how to go about either

Re: Super League Homepage
Just a quick point. Will be difficult to do a 2 tiered system with two pools of 6 if we only have 8 managers.

Obviously we'd need to recruit , Even if we done a 10 team one we'd still be ok. Just one team would have a week off.

Re: Super League Homepage
Have predictions been unfair or biased in any way so far though? Can't say I've noticed anything of the sort!
Not disagreeing with your idea, but just not sure how it makes it more fair. With less predictions on each game, more chance of strange results if someone goes with a massively different result

Re: Super League Homepage
Sorry lads, been a bit busy recently. Good to see you're all keen for another season, and glad to hear some talk on the format.
The only opinion I would have is that, if we need to recruit more managers we could just restart the old aviva league. Unless of course people are more interested in this short format

Re: Super League Homepage
Can see what your saying Bam , maybe a pm of predictions with them published after results under annonmous names might be a better way.
I'm happy to carry on this league but maybe split at the half way point to keep the bottom half competative or split into two play offs at the end? Tests the tactical nous of managers in terms of squad rotation etc.
