Re: Gloucester
Can def start Gray, he's had a great season and has really progressed, I'm a big fan.
Was a big deal and rated all 4 players which is rare. See Evans only behind Carter along with a firing JMH...although Carter is a class on his own for me.
Carter was garbage against Reds by his standards, kicking and passing was poor but he still manages to make 50yrd breaks, tackles and turnovers! Even when he's very bad he's still very good, boy's a genius!
Maitland looks a real talent, outshines Guidford imo and was looking good for AB's until injury. Nowhere near Medard though.

Re: Gloucester
I do like Guidford and he must be ahead of Maitland now with Maits injury. Be pretty surprised if he gets picked still.
JSD looked great in attack but his defence lets him down, you can't slip off tackles like that against the top opposition.

I am and I arn't, I'm happy with Cus he's just got no form. Although I think he's top draw if he gets fit.
I'm not sure mate, I'm trying to see something at a similar level....Kahui?

Just got your last post, not quite sure who is close to Vermeulen mate. I'm no good at 1 for 1 deals. Give me a list of players you'd include and I'll have a think

Mat, should the fact that Bakkies and Schalk are your favourites players in the world gives us a clue as to what your style of play is on a rugby pitch?

I'm in total agreement mate, you can't beat a good bit of old fashioned stick up your jumper 10 man rugby. Think my all time favourite player has to be Jason Leonard. Great prop and top bloke all round.

See you've plumped for Strauss in the foreigns. Good shout I reckon, will link up well with Coenie, and stick Somerville in at tighthead and you will have a formidable front row during the World Cup unless P Divvy springs a surprise and takes the Cheetahs boys along.

Re: Gloucester
I'm going to have to wait on whether taylor is selected for the Scotland squad mate, as I'm banking on him being able to play 5, 6 or 8 for me as my squad is very young and inexperienced without him during the WC!
Out of interest what players are potentially available from you?

Not for sale mate. He's going to be a star and I would probably only swap him for either Carter or McCaw.

No probs. You look set on wing during the WC, but maybe light at centre? think Crane is playing at a higher level personally. Again, not to worry.

Re: Gloucester
Not a great deal for my team Matt, fair offer though. This is my call on it....
Franks best TH in world and already have top English at TH. Wilko better than Flood and massive for my team. Parling one of the best English locks about and back playing as of start of season, Thorn off to Japan and won't be rated...also a 4 when I have 4 of them. Ojo for Fritz, Ojo best non Int English winger and starts for me whilst Fritz would be 3/4th choice 13.
See where I'm coming from lol. I lose 3 potential English starters for basically 1 as I'd have Cole/PDJ at TH.

Re: Gloucester
Not sure whether I would sell JDV mate, went for a risk in signing Willie Mason so want to see what others think of him.
Will also be working on having two types of tactics next season - the first will be for home with a more attacking lineup, but the away team will have Phillips, JDV in it to offer more defensive options.
Who do you consider to be in the same level in terms of players from your squad?

Re: Gloucester
To be honest the SA's are probably the only u20 team I havent seen this season out of the big teams, I know when the England u18s toured there a year and half or so ago they absolutely thrashed them in South Africa. I think they played 3 games and scored 30+ points in each game, and that was with guys like Ford, Daly and quite a few of the forwards.
I would say that it is the best England side I have seen in a very long time at this level, so would go and watch the game for that reason alone. The Ford, Farrell and Daly midfield is amazing. Daly is sensational, scored 4 tries in 25mins during the 6Nations, after playing in the National Junior Final something like 36 hours before.
Got some great forwards too this year, Mako Vunipola has just been signed by Sarries from Bristol and I think Joe Launchbury will do very well and will be Shaw's replacement at Wasps.
NZ will more than likely win it again, the Aussies had a chance before Liam Gill flew home - he'd have been the best player at the tournament. But with Ford and Farrel in the team, we've probably got the best decision makers at this level. Can't wait to watch it on Friday!
