Re: Hall of Fame round 6
Slim pickings in this round. Voted for Bull Durham as it is enjoyable enough and like Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins as actors. Seabiscuit I have not seen, cannot risk the longest yard until the Sandler issue is resolved and The Hurricane was a bit too preachy and self righteous to me. Also Carter's story is remarkable enough, it did not need them playing so fast and loose with the boxing details as the film did, particularly in its handling of the Guardiello title fight which was completely unnecessary. Appreciate this is a relatively minor thing but is common in loads of sports films and gets annoying after a while.
