Re: Out of Character Chat v8
How about an open challenge belt too. Each card, whoever promos the best in the week gets the shot. No one, including the belt holder, knows who he is facing until it's posted.
Re: Out of Character Chat v8
Maybe for the EXT title but I imagine it would be too much work to write matches on top of show matches etc.
In other news, I'm in an amazing mood! Just weighed myself and I'm the lightest I've been since I was probably 20, healthy BMI!

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
It doesn't have to be a long match between shows. If it's hardcore, then a guitar over the head, pin and new champ!
It could be one week a year and then whoever has it at the end of the week keeps it for the year.

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I do like the idea of it being a one off thing once a year as it's something a bit different...I would also like to see a championship scramble match for the hardcore title as then you'd be kept guessing as to who would leave as champion.

I like the concept actually but I think it might cause creative headaches. We could have a one off ppv built for it. Promos before it would be who is going for what title. Then there are no ppv matches as such, but every title is on the line during that ppv period. Then write the show as normal.
Something like that.....

Nah, it was in the US, they just did a montage thanking the fans and I was in one of the clips.
DAV, if I get away with the segment I just sent Paul then you should love the bit I wrote for you this week. It doesn't make any sense, and thats as much of a tribute as I can muster.

I was Thunder......true story
Not the Thunder, but back on the old site when a tag team appeared for all of two shows called thunder and lightning. Awful tag team created around a promo I had in mind, obviously had no ideas beyond that one decent vignette haha

Did you see this Adam? Demon posted it on 6WF about how Trash TV was clearly ahead of it's time.

I didn't see it on 6wf but was aware of it and thought about it! I'm waiting for a albino wrestler to feature prominently in the coming weeks.

Who would you say came out of DoR as a loser? Some of the people who did not get the win still came out strong
I think there are some who have something to prove after DoR

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
Wood came out as a loser for sure, he lost his chance to have a match that he was putting all his hope in to and then he was thrown out of the GTG by the man who stole his chance at the Wood/Thunder III match.
I think he also lost because he was drawn in to a brawl with Costello so he was dragged down to his level etc.

You picked the exact point I hoped others would.
Along the lines of "my character lost but....."
Joshua performed well, eliminated two and kick started the makings of a great feud. He only lost out in that I hoped he would have been there close to the end. But that's minor really.....for his ppv debut he got at the end all he needed at this stage.

Even Nack can call himself the "rightful" champion, cant think of any big name stars who came out of it looking weak.

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I would argue Wood came out strong Viper as he has 'found' himself again although it wasn't in the greatest circumstances
I would be hard pushed to pick a match where somebody hasn't come out of the show looking stronger. It was something definitely we were mindful of as we start the Night of Glory run and something you will see continuing on the show on Sunday. I don't want to spoil anything but I think Sundays show is a cracker from start to finish and from a storytelling point of view is one of our best - But I would say that of course

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
Ok that QOTD was pretty much cleared up within a few posts
So how about.......
Knowing the card, main event, title celebration afterwards and that it is a cracker (Paul's words), what do people think will be the closing image as Aftermath ends?
I am going to say, as the last part is Enforcer's title celebration, Nate Nack attacks him after losing to Adamson in the main event, and Max cockily telling him afterwards that "he best go for another piece of gold". Maybe even an Authority split with Enforcer? Adamson joining in his place?

I wouldn't be surprised if Enforcer lost his title. He's had a long stretch and its the big PPV, heel champs often fall.

Do you not miss the anticipation of show
day though?
As for my prediction Twist (which lets be honest I never get right) Im assuming the enforcer title celebrations are last? I think Nack will crash the party, turn down his rematch at the 6cw title and demand a shot at enforcer

QOTD - What makes a good show to you, what are you looking for when you read a
6CW show that will make it stand out. Great matches/Great story telling - How important is the action in the ring?

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I think the first thing is what happened to their character. It's human nature right? Put effort in every week so you want to know if he won his match or appeared in a segment.
Then for me it is the segments and backstage stuff. Matches can be epic and usually are, but the segments drive stories. Then it's how it ends.....must have a cliffhanger finish.....to make me wish the next show is the next day.

Agree
Unless its a PPV I will tend to go to my match first. Following that I will then scan for any segments and then go to the main event, before finally reading the rest of the cards matches
As gripping as a good match can be its all about the stories for me

Morning all - Back at work already after a late one yesterday. Man I must be a fool
QOTD still remains from late yesterday
What makes a good show to you, what are you looking for when you read a
6CW show that will make it stand out. Great matches/Great story telling - How important is the action in the ring?.
From my point of view my focus is obviously on the segments and the story telling. I very rarely get involved in the matches, I know they are an important factor in the fed but for me its the other bits that push the stories forward. For example, Max and Gazzy have had some great in ring battles but the build to the reveal and their interaction outside the ring has been the key to the stories longevity. The same for some of the monster characters where building the backstory and the mystique pays off more than putting them on a streak in the ring. The fact that Ojore, Joshua etc don't really care if they win they just want to hurt and torture people is the thing that makes them more dangerous

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
The matches are important to push things along and sometimes spots in matches can be a total showstealer. I think it depends on who is taking part......that's not to say one character is better than another but there is obviously a pecking order (I mean the power 5 proves that). So depending on whose involved I might skim those matches of a normal show.
What I always do is reread the show a few days later, usually in my lunch hour. This time I read it through properly.
PPV's it is different. Match wise, there can be a lot of little added bits that if you skim you will miss. Take for instance the GtG match......skim the first part and you would have missed Jones coming out and saying it was now for the title. Because of the build up usually I tend to be online when it is posted, read it through, and frantically refresh to see if a new post has gone up.

That reminds me we need a power 5 - I might do it differently this time.
Can you vote for your power 5 and PM me your choices. I will then collate the results and post the top 5. We could keep this as a monthly thing. Please consider, promos, match performance and influence in you vote choice
Thanks
