Morning all
I think Moyes has been shafted, he is a good manager, proved that at Everton but the moment he was heralded as the chosen one he was destined to fail, no backing from the board during the January transfer window and he has been hung out to dry now, as much as I like to see Utd fail I don't think the way Moyes has been treated is fair at all

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I think it’s tough one because moyes is clearly a nice bloke and a decent football manager, however... just because he did a decent job at Everton where expectations were low, players were average and had little to no money doesn’t qualify him to take over arguably the biggest club in the world. I think the appointment was wrong from the very start. They should have got Jose mourinho, he was desperate for that job yet he was regarded as 'not a utd type manager', which imo is rubbish he’s a winner and if he had got the job utd wouldn’t be where they are now.
I feel sorry for Moyes but he clearly wasn’t the right man for the job. I've drawn up a list of possible candidates:
Mike Bassett
Barry Fry
Darren Ferguson
Avram Grant
Fellaini as player
manager

Lets be honest £37 million is hardly no backing from the board. He just chose to make a satement as opposed to sign a position we actually needed.
Personally I feel sorry for him he did so well at Everton and earned that big job, proffessionally though happy he's gone, there was no light at the end of the tunnel with him

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I think they've reacted too soon, sure his transfers may not have been great during the windows but he wasn't given the opportunity to build his own team, he wasn't left with a brilliant platform by fergie and the glazers. It was always going to be about rebuilding, now the next manager will come in and start again will you sack then in 10 months if you don't challenge, I'd have given him till January and then if still no sign of progression cut ties then

I'd love to have them announce their intentions before the match, a unification seems the most likely though. I can't think of many other options tbh!

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
The problem is though it was going past rebuilding. We already knew the likes of vidic rio evra etc would need replacing but when you have younger players like zaha...hernandez...welbeck complaining then you're not just replacing 5 or 6 players but 10 or 11
In all honesty...good man..decent manager but not good enough to take on the mantle at United

Max to win and join the Authority with Enforcer being dropped by Jones, Max goes for a unfication match at NoG against Enforcer but makes a triple threat match including Gazzy to ensure he gets the victory. However Gazzy wins the belt at NoG

Gazzy to win for me, but to remain loyal to max for now and put him in a one on one with enforcer to unify the belt with himself as referee

That's what I said would happen in Aftermath's title celebration. It does look increasingly likely, but then Jones has looked as if he has given Enforcer a rough time only to screw someone else, (DoR and GtG).
GazzyD to win I think, after pinning Enforcer. I think GazzyD will try and use it as bargaining chip to get out of the hold Max has on him. However, because he pinned Enforcer, the situation you describe above happens - Jones gets peed with Enforcers "fall from grace" and replaces him with Max.

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
I don't see a gazzy win, i think it would be too similar to the whole him winning the match that got him the #30 spot. I would expect if gazzy was to win then Max would still get his say which is why I don't see this happening.
I fully expect a screwy finish to the match. I think Max will win, maybe with Hernandez counting a quick pinfall for Max to win and then screw over Enforcer

No-one going for Nate? I mean he lost the belt in circumstances that would have been extremely difficult for anyone on the roster.

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
Doesn't Nate get a re-match regardless? I wouldn't imagine storyline gains much from a Nate win. It would be different if his rematch relied on him solely winning this fatal fourway but he is due a title shot regardless of the outcome of this match

Re: Out of Character Chat v8
As it happens yeah, the way he spoke...the words he chose
Jones: And although it pains me to say so, even I am not allowed to dismiss contractual obligations….so I guess there is one other man who has a say in where we go next….if you would do the honours, boys…
*Jones turns to the members of The Authority on the outside and they quickly drag Nate Nack up off the floor and roll him back into the ring.
Jones: Like it or not, Nack came to me earlier tonight and informed me he would be cashing in his re-match clause as soon as the world championship scene was sorted out….I can’t deny him that, as much as I wish I could…
If Nack wins he can get a plain old boring title shot, one on one. But if he loses he still gets the title shot but Jones can stack the deck making a much more interesting angle

It's funny, I read that as him being part of the 4-way was his rematch shot. Otherwise it was just a triple threat. But reading it back, you are right. I still don't trust Jones, even if Nack wins.

Promo up, hope people enjoy it. I am getting into writing for Joshua now. Writing as him for a short story is different to promoing, especially as you have a few promoing techniques to abide by. I'm starting to get his message across as well.
I don't know how people have taken to him. Are you enjoying him as a character? What do you think of the format? Is it easy to read? Any feedback appreciated - good or bad.
Dolph mate.......over to you.

That's a bonus. Not even mentioned where I work. Anyone seen the Google doddle today? It's a bit drab and depressing.
Loved the Costello promo M2daC. Nice to know sadistic Vince has a humorous side. You trying to take Wood on a guilt trip or you just lining him up as another victim? Costello plays the mind games very subtly doesn't he. Real good to read.

Cheers mate, yeah mind games city! Costello although dangerous isn't the most technically sound in the ring so I try to put him across as someone who used his intelligence/ psychology to defeat his opponents. In the case of wood, I felt using thunder was the best way to get in his head.
