Re: Sting
Really hope he is scarcely used, how they're using Hogan would be the best way to handle him. Don't want to see him any kind of match, not against Undertaker or anybody.

Same as that Crimey. I've never really got all the love for Sting.
Bar a two year period in WCW he's been pretty meh.

Apparently its a TV deal, not just a legends contract.

Yeah but I'm hoping he's used like Hogan is being currently used, if he has to be used. I think WWE are overestimating how much people will care about Sting, he's nowhere near the level of name as Hogan.

Re: Sting
The merch and footage (plus DVD) will sell. The guy is a huge name in the business and perfect for WWE storytelling. I think the story of him having one match or one run with WWE could be huge. It may not look good in the ring, but it really writes itself.

Don't or didn't watch TNA. The last time I saw Sting was in 2002 at a WWA show in Belfast so I'll be intrigued to see whar the WWE can do with the biggest name in the industry who hadn't worked for them.

Re: Sting
I'm perfectly fine with them using him as a face to sell WCW merchandise and Sting merchandise, but I don't want him anywhere near a ring. I would accept him being a personality, but I there isn't even a small part of me that wants to see him wrestle. I'm not even sure he's that big of a name in the industry, he's certainly nowhere near Hogan levels, I wouldn't even put him on somebody like Triple H or Undertaker's levels. He's not been relevant for nearly 15 years, he's done very little to enhance TNA's reputation for a number of years.

Re: Sting
Who exactly could enhance TNA? Hogan couldn't and he's the biggest (or one of) draw the industry has ever seen.
Very difficult to compare how big Sting's name is in comparison to those you mention Crimey as he's had nowhere near the same platform although Sting, along with the nWo, was right at the forefront of WCWs boom in the mid-90s did main event WCWs biggest selling PPV so he can draw.

All I can say is...
"Sting then teamed with WCW newcomer Davey Boy Smith to beat the team of Vader and Vicious at Beach Blast in a match that was set up by a mini-movie in which an evil midget blew up Sting's boat"

Re: Sting
It'll be interesting to see what he can bring to the table, he's a great promo guy, the last few years though he seemed to be phoning it in with rwgarsa to TNA, Sting always had a great body so you have to assume him wearing a T-Shirt was the sign that he wasn't keeping in as good a shape as he once did which is why he hid under the top, being a body guy those guys tend to be dedicated to working out so you have to imagine there was some kind of injury there that stopped Sting from keeping in the shape hr was proud of.
He's had plenty of time off now though and whether he's had surgery or just rest you have to imagine the WWE wouldn't sign him unless he was 100% focussed to give it all he has and that for me means I expect him to be back in the gym and be in the shape he was 10 years ago when he finally has a WWE match.
I'm not exactly enthralled at Sting being in a top tier spot when the youth is so vibrant at the moment but I loved Flair's last run in WWE and thought it was done with class and great stoeytelling so if they have similar planned for Sting then I wont have many complaints.

I think Sting should be used to put John Cena over. He needs the rub of beating Sting.

Just look what it did for Magnus and Bobby Roode, among others...
Would you have him win clean, or dirty? In TNA they usually had someone interfere, so as not to make the Icon look weak.

Re: Sting
Oh yay, another OAP hasbeen looking for their final payday by keeping younger talent out of the lime light. WWE really doesn't need him and I really don't care about him.

He was on the Warrior tribute documentary shown on the Network.
Hopefully that was what he was signed up for...

Wouldnt surprise me. Its not like they have a history of burying WCW talent.

I suppose they probably do need to make sure that WCW talent doesnt outshine their own and build the company back up

Re: Sting
The best way for WWE to use Sting is any time he makes an appearance have Tony Schiavone run out, point at the 'The Icon' whilst shouting "STING! IT'S STIIIIIIING.... WE'RE OUTTA TIME FOLKS! WE'RE OUTTA TI~" then have the screen fade to black.

Re: Sting
They should repackage him, dye his hair gray and instead of coming from the rafters just hobble out with a zimmer, have him point to Toilet signs and call him Stung
