I really hope there aren't consequences - ie Hoggy having a hissy fit and moving to another club for next season... His skills are undeniable but his attitude has become awful

Well he has been hooked - pre meditated, injury, or did Hogg give Niko a telling off in the changing room?

It is strange - he didn't look injured, and he could do with the game time?

Weather has ruined the second half but can't take away from a great performance. Would be good to finish with a couple more tries

Even bigger effort from Irish TMO & probable Leinster season ticket holder Seamus Flannery...
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Zebre, 10 May
Anyhow. A home semi. Smashing stuff. Now to look into trains & match tickets.
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Zebre, 10 May
Re Hogg. My information is that he is acting like a total prima donna in training. His quote to Carlin Iles after a training game was something along the lines of "there's something you'll learn about me , I don't pass outside ". Iles had been screaming at him to pass the ball and he refused. I could go on but I think the point's been made.

I have heard similair stories about Hogg, such as not wanting to talk to the young players who could potentially be moving to glasgow. Reminds me a bit of Cipriani, great player but too much attention at a young age is never a good thing.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Zebre, 10 May
I don't think we should read anything into that try incident. If you look at Niko he was going for the ball right from the moment he set off and did not see Hoggy. He is a competitive animal and wanted to score the hat trick, nothing wrong with that.
Hoggy took his tries, especially the first very well but Tonnie probably always planned to give Murchie a half, he has been playing well and deserved a run out as well. Maybe it was a trail for the playoff place. If so I am not sure that it solves a lot as both had good games, you just do think though that Hoggy still has the X factor that might turn a game. Tough on Murchie, who if he does not start is unlikely to even bench.
I am thinking a back 3 of Maits, Hoggy and Seymour with Niko on the bench to cover SH and wing. Mind you Lamont put his hand up today as well. It is going to be a hell of a call!

Not sure he's going to be at Glasgow next season. Regardless of all the stuff that has been revealed recently. He was not allowed to mix or meet the fans in the clubhouse at the recent derby game. That came from management. His coat looks to be on a shoogily peg.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Zebre, 10 May
Just seen a picture of him on Twitter outside talking to fans who were queuing up to buy semi final tickets. Looked happy enough to be doing that.
Got to take a lot of this stuff with a pinch of salt. A lot of stuff happens behind closed doors in the changing room and in practice sessions and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Hoggy may well be a slightly edgy character but he would not be the first professional sportsman to be like that. That is the part of his make up that makes him a great player. You should not just throw that away, you need to try and manage it. That is what you need senior players like Kellock and good coaches like Toonie for.
The trouble is in Scotland we are not used to having rugby players who are good and know they are good and are perhaps a little bit brash with it. Other countries have had plenty and they cope with it better. He is still a young man and the likliehood is that we will see him mature in front of us over the next few years. We need to keep a sense of perspective here!

All this complete schieze about Stuart Hogg is fecking laughable. If you bunch of Luvvies can't think of anything positive to say then feckin feck off to OK magazine or some similar depressing drivel. The guy was down injured for 5 mins (back and in some distress) in the first 40. Call yourself rugby men ! Lets get a grip here !

He was taking one of the coaching sessions with kids on the back pitches the day of the last derby game. He was excellent with the kids and was mixing with everyone.
Whole Hogg forum rumours thing is getting tedious. Can we just not wait till there is actual news?

Scitz - Heuer is only passing on information he has heard from what he says is a credible source. Unless he is making it up then he has more knowledge on it than you or most of us do. I'm also not sure if he is an Edinburgh or Glasgow fans - this isn't all a conspiracy made up by disgruntled Edinburgh fans.
I agree with Dot though - the amount of debate there has been on this is getting a bit tiring - and I apologies for the part I have played in that - but ultimately I really hope it isn't true as he is a wonderful talent and I hope his head is screwed on and he becomes a truly world class player.
If it is true however then he's in a good place just now to try to get back on track.

Re the Hogg "controversy"; regardless of wether it's true or not someone should point out to him that he has the potential to be a great player BUT to remember that the All Blacks , at all grades , pick on character first and foremost. They do this for a very good reason.
