Should natural gifts/disadvantages be considered when rating fighters ??
Should a guy like Hearns who has great natural gifts be marked down though he had a wonderful career for underachieving??
Should 5ft 6 inch Dwight Qawi who took on guys who were six inches taller at 175 and Cruiser gain places for overachieving ??
Tommy Burns weighed in as a "Jr middle" not long before beating the World's best heavies shouldn't that count for more...
Or should we just rate on achievements ...................
Should overcoming obstacles or not fulfilling your talent be considered when rating fighters ??......or be solely record based ??

Disadvantages probably, but natural gifts no. Although they are natural, they still need to be harnessed

Achievements only, you're going to mark someone down because he's fast? I might give Byrd more credit because he's small, but I'm not going to rate him as a better Heavyweight.

Think it's best to give that sort of stuff a back seat in general, as achievements, opposition beaten, sustained success etc have to take precedence.
That said, I guess if you're trying to split two fighters and all of the above is pretty equal, it doesn't hurt to delve a bit deeper and use that kind of stuff as a tie breaker. Success and achievements always have differing elements of context to them so in some cases it can boost a fighter's standing, I guess.
Just not by all that much in general, I think.

To be fair the arguement for them being rated higher is sometimes applied to Jimmy Wilde and Tommy Burns that they fought lots of bigger guys. Guys that weren't all that much cop in some instances.

Alright Truss
He's back in training now and they are in the process of trying to get Peter Mandfredo over for the Liverpool card in July (@ 168 btw )
This will be a good gauge to see where he is at.
