If anyone fancies free money, Ishmail Miller to score first is 16/1 apparently.

You serious? That is a decent team and with the names GSC mentioned, Forest should easily be looking for promotion next term.

Playoffs certainly should be the aim, good solid side there with some x factors like Antonio and assombalonga thrown in should be competing up the business end

Indeed. As i say Forest fans have been let down the last 3 seasons. This season will be there's though.

Good win, albeit against fairly abysmal opposition. Goals for the wingers, Assombalonga looked a handful. 2 strikers was an interesting look, but why not. Great to see Cohen get through over an hour. Took the foot off the gas in the second half.
As for Blackpool, be surprised if they stayed up. Some decent players but its an absolute shambles to have 8 players a month before kickoff and play 2 preseason games.

Thank you, but it takes more than that to mount a promotion challenge.
Tranmere in the COC tomorrow. Probably see the likes of Hobbs and Lichaj get a run out as they return from injury.
As ever I really couldn't care. Not a fan of COC personally.

Pretty much sums up the CoC that I'm more annoyed about Mancienne missing a game than winning.

Sounds like Lansbury wants to go Burnley. Fair enough I suppose, but if hes pining after London after living in Nottingham, Burnley will be a culture shock.
Wonder if Nick Powell could be had on loan.

Missed Mancienne today, looks like we're getting healthier at the back though.
Sounded like a good performance going forward and nice to Britt off the mark. Could be a decent point come seasons end.

Re: The Nottingham Forest Thread - Sponsored by the National Accident Helpline
Great win.
Had my doubts about 4-4-2 away to good sides and we got battered in the first half, with Darlow showing his class.
Pearce chucked on Osborn at halftime and put Lichaj at LB, and we improved, so inevitably Bournemouth scored. We hung in there though and Assombalonga/Fryatt showed the clinical edge we haven't had up front since Johnson and we scored with out first 2 shots on target.
Bournemouth look a very good outfit, be surprised if too many people take something from Dean's Court this season. Would rather avoid a repeat in May

Anyway, still 43 games to go. Reading at home next so Simon Cox is a banker to score.

Re: The Nottingham Forest Thread - Sponsored by the National Accident Helpline
Good win over Reading.
Wasn't a brilliant first half, got the goal but never really put Reading away, missed a few chances, they had a couple of good chances. They had a bollocking at half time apparently then came out and swept Reading aside.
Assombalonga already looks value for money. Obviously his goals get attention, but his all round game deserves praise, good work ethic, runs for the team and holds the ball up. Early days, but if he keeps this up a few Prem sides may regret not stumping up 5.5m

Sounded like a routine win. Took us long enough to find a finish, luckily Vaughan did it for us. Good to see Lansbury get through 90 minutes and get a goal.

Very good win, showed character to grind out a result against a good Wednesday side. Not the most fluent performance, but they controlled the game well once they got their noses in front.
Wednesday look a good outfit, they just lack someone with the guile to open up sides. Once we got in front they had no plan B other than to keep chucking it in the box. Their front 2 look a handful mind

Apparently Hulls favorite Boyd moment is him scoring against us in a game they lost. Moving on...
Nice to sit back and relax on deadline day. Expect Halford and Collins to be loaned out next week.

Cohen has torn his ACL again. Gutted for him. Defiant noises from the club that he isn't finished, but 3 is virtually impossible to return from.

Have to say you really didn't look up for your trip to the Riverside.
You'll need to do a lot better against Brum who are on a bit of a run of form at the moment.
To be honest I was expecting Forest to be around where Bournemouth and Ipswich are. Started like a train but seem to have lost your way a bit.

Well Pearce going wasn't that much of a surprise...but Freedman?
Sounds like survival is your main goal, rather than making the play-offs.
Don't think Dougie will stay around very long either, if the owners still harbour any promotion ambitions.
