6 million and Jamie Vardy has been talked about. If that's the case ill bite you're hand off. Sign Chris Wood as well and another proven striker, maybe even Sam Baldock and that is 4 good enough strikers. The main reason ill be gutted if Ulloa goes, is i love his song!

Still i don't think anything get worse than 11 million for Ross McCormack.

4-0 win against Partick Thistle, goals from CMS, Greer, Fenelon and Harris.

However the big news was the absence of Leo Ulloa. Off to Leicester again.

Not like us to sell on decent attacking players.

A signing yes we have actually made a signing! Aarron Hughes arrives on a free transfer from QPR. Tbh though I can't see him being as good as upson and I recon Greer and Dunk will be the partnership next season.

Ulloa's off for 7 million. Tbf he isn't worth that so thats a good
Bit of business that, but the thing is we don't have a replacement lined up so we need to spend the money and try and sign a proven championship scorer. Try and get Troy Deeny but tbh can't see anyone decent joining us. Chris O Grady close to joining for 500K. Awful signing. See him more as the Barnes replacement.

Well if he's back up then I guess it's ok. Get Lingard back on
Loan and if we actually spend the money on a good striker then that's not too bad. Still O Grady hardly gets me jumping out of my seat.

Back from Holliday to see no signings (shock) and that the Ulloa deal could rise to 10 million, upset to see him go but that is bluddy good business. Also had 2 pre season games when I was away. A 1-1 draw with Crawley and a 2-1 defeat against Peterbrough. Played awful in both apparently but I'm not worried pre season games are just for fitness and tactics. Season getting closer though and we need more signings or it's not gonna be pleasant.

3-1 defeat at home to Southampton tonight to finish pre season off.

Didn't go but sounds like we were awful.

But the biggest disappointment, is refreshments have gone up even more. £4.10 for a pint of Fosters! Ludicrous.

Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday then. Football is back!

Jordan Badger?

Can't see us making the play offs! One Sussex side who will do well this year though is Whitehawk, putting together a very good team managed by Steve King.

Serious post here.

If I were a Brighton fan I'd be getting fairly p1ssed off right now. I understand FFP blah blah blah but you've gone from having a team with Barnes, Ulloa, Bridcutt to Chris O'Grady some fenlon dude I've never heard of and Andrew crofts

It seems your chairman or senior team have got so caught up in developing stadiums and training grounds they've forgotten to improve the bloomin squad!!

To be honest Olly, selling your best players to bigger sides has always been a sad fact of life in the lower divisions.

Goal was outstanding, red card was harsh so Brighton can feel unlucky in that sense, but they seem to have gone too far down the possession route, over offering any decent threat.

Fair comments from both.

First things first the game, started off brightly. Then the rest of the first half was very poor. Both sides really weren't great and i expect Sheffield Wednesday to be fighting out in a relegation scrap come May, but they took the chance that came, a superb effort by Giles Coke. 2nd half, we played a lot better and that was after we lost our best player for a red card, Crofts sent off. One of those ones you can debate for hours, personally i think the ref got it correct, reality of football these days im afraid. Had some chances to butin agreement with GSC, Its just been the same under Poyet, Oscar and now Hyppia, we just seem to faff around with the ball for too long and just can't get the ball in the back of the net.

Still need 4/5 players in, if we are to be generally be in with a chance of promotion this season. I have no problem selling players for big money, Getting 8 million for Ulloa was outstanding, but it has to be invested. If its not season tickets will go down etc, and were going to be moving backwards.

Final things. AMEX looking superb as always. But the prices are beyond belief and the quees are just stupid. That's what annoyed me most!

Least i got to see some goo football at Wembley today, so wasn't a wasted weekend!

About to go mate for 2.5 million, good business again but we need players!!!

Poor performance last night against Cheltenham, but got the job done. Lewis Dunk getting his first ever goal for the club and CMS getting his first of the season thanks to a fantastic pass by Kazenga Lua Lua.

Swindon away next round. Again couldn't care less.

That is good business. Any rumours as to players your getting in? I think you got a couple of now ex-Chelsea youngsters on free transfers earlier in the window, are they in the first team or reserves/u21?

Well Stephen Ward has gone to Burnley, no chance of getting him now Sad But all the best to him, superb player deserves another shot at the Prem. But means were screwed for a LB now.

A signing has been made today though, Joao Carlos Teixeria on a season loan from Liverpool. Not sure what he is like, but hopefully he is the creative midfielder we are crying out for.

Birmingham away tomorrow, buzzing for an away day, but as usual not the 90 minutes of football.

Team ill go for

I have an overwhelming fear of Brighton signing Joe Walsh from Crawley before end of August, hope I'm wrong. Wales U21 LB/CB. In January we turned down £400k for him. Since then have been expecting him to leave this summer!

You need to sign some proven players. Not loan guys from Prem teams that have never kicked a ball in England before.

Whilst Joe Walsh is a great player, we already have Greer, Hughes and Dunk in that role, so that position is not something we need strengthening.

Cracking away day as usual. Wrecked of course as expected by the football.

Worst performance since we have joined the AMEX. Just awful in all areas on the pitch. Birmingham were a terrible side as well, which makes this even more worrying.

4/5 players needed if were to have a hope in hell this season.

Danny Holla some random player from Holland has signed today. Can't be anyworse than what we have at the moment.

Next defeat is Tuesday night away at Leeds.

Funny chants though, We've sold all our songs, we've sold all our songs were Brighton & Hove Albion we've sold all our songs.

Bit surprised to see he didn't have a club. Decent enough player, in a 'for a mid-table side' kind of way.

I hear interest in Sam Baldock, but you've bid £750k and Bristol want £1m. Player isn't desperate to leave but the club aren't flush with cash. I still love Baldock, great scoring instinct, but he want pull up any trees

Complete different performance from Brighton, attacked with pace, looked dangerous in final 3rd and controlled a very poor Leeds side in all areas of the pitch.

Texeria looks the real deal, he took his goal superbly well. Looks like the game changer we've missed since Vicente. Holla also played well, controlled the midfield.

Ince should of wrapped the game up, but a minute later a poor refereeing decision, Texeria fouled in the area but only a free kick was given, none the less Justice prevailed and Lua Lua smashed home. 2-0. Happy days. We have beaten "the best team in England"

Lets keep it going now, hopefully getting a LB in today. Bolton at home on Saturday #WeGoAgain

Paddy McCourt joined last night on a one year deal.

Hoping to get a new LB in today.  Joe Bennett or Jack Robinson.

Think Bennett will do ok for you.
Struggled last season.

Played a blinder on our 1-0 win against Chelsea though.

Hopefully its a good signing, im convinced by him and i think he will do well. Lot of pressure on the lad though, as Bridge and Ward have been class for us.

Winger and Striker then were sorted.

Fantastic win over a poor Bolton side though it must be said. But it was great to see us play good attractive football and attack with speed!

1st half was all Brighton, Bolton got a goal out of nothing which they really didn't deserve, but it was a daft foul to give away by Forster Caskey and no one picked up Matt Mills. CMS hit the bar and Dunk had one cleared of the line. But a good passing move started of by CMS, was finished of by CMS.

2nd half again all Brighton. Texeria taking his goal well, this guy looks the real deal, very surprised Prem teams didn't try to get him on loan. Bruno got MOTM, but i personally would of given it to Joe Bennett, great debut and looks the same to Bridge and Ward. Great signing.

New signing announced yesterday, Spanish striker from Getafe. Hopefully he is a squad addition rather, than the final addition. Still need a big name striker IMO.

Things starting to look good. Swindon town on Tuesday night, lack of money means ill miss this one.

Gary Gardner joining you until jan 1.

Good player, will do him some good to go out on loan, although I would have liked to keep him.
