I'd like to see him tackle Costello, think that'd be quality!

I do look forward to seeing JJ. Obviously I wasnt around in e-fedding when you were more character than creator (if you get my point) and I was a big Roth fan in the delivery of promos. With JJ being a character you are clearly going to be supremely comfortable with I look forward to seeing your work.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
No pressure then haha
Yeah JJ has always been comfortable to promo as, I have enjoyed doing other characters but it is hard to find a comfort zone with any of them.
I do understand that many people wanted to see him heel, he certainly has the ability to change, but I don't think there was ever particularly a storyline where it could have happened. The only time I was able to show any heelish traits was the early feud with Abe Abercorn but think it was too early then to turn completely.
After that I was usually portrayed as the "hero" of the piece, especially whenever I went up against Cassius.
I wouldn't be adverse to the idea though, I think it could work really well if the storyline dictated it.
I think because this roster is fresh and exciting there are so many feuds I would love to get involved in, many different styles to clash against.

That's why I toyed with bringing The Saint over before Harris was created. Saw a lot of room to move but I needed the challenge of a new character and I'm finally finding a groove with Harris.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
I don't think.....think being in "".....that JJ will join the Authority. The segment at NoG suggested someone that was peeing Jones off on the phone had hired JJ. Again, it could be a Hogan like turn. But I think a face JJ brings more to the fed than a heel JJ. Right now, those anti-authority wrestlers haven't really got a figurehead. This could be GazzyD I suppose.
I would much rather see JJ mentor a younger face competitor to climb the ranks. Wood or Phillips would be good.
If I was going against JJ promo wise, I would know exactly what to target.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
Think for those that haven't really experienced JJ Johnson much would obviously like to see the character being the uber face but I think it would be far more interesting to see what JJ is like as the uber heel, for me. Think the character definitely has the scope to go that way, especially when he could be compared to the likes of The Rock/Batista who go away for a while and then are resented for it.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
JJ Johnson has to come in face, he's an icon and is being portrayed as someone widely known by the 6CW fans rather than being an unknown from another fed. So he has to be the big face at least at first. I would suggest JJ is inadvertantly involved in the Authority's business and then be against the Authority for the first few months.

Really enjoyed that promo Marky, great start to Adamson's run as face of the Authority.
Just to add, Chelsea are looking frightening for next season. And, this opening ceremony is a shambles

Morning!
This may sound controversial but after reading the promos, I think this week's standard has gone up a notch. Which is amazing considering the quality of the NoG ones!
Favourite so far?

It's well worth it. A good many "set their stall out promos" as well as totally new ones.

Is it a fair question to ask to pick a favourite? I wouldn't know where to start, each of them have been very good in their own ways.

Don't see why not.....if no one said the Joshua promo I would not get offended
Style wise I loved Markys and GazzyDs. The story has helped but those promos have pushed it to another level.

QOTD:
Instead of f*ck, Marry, Kill let's play
Face turn, heel turn, title run!
So there it is!
Who would you turn face, who would you turn heel and who would you put the world title on given the chance?

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
Face turn - Enforcer, time is probably right as well with Max joining The Authority
Heel turn - At the minute probably nobody, I think the fed is probably a wee bit heel heavy, but at a future point selfishly I would love to see Phillips turn heel, but somebody not my own I think yourself Viper, I liked your teasing promos when you were very much a tweener during the Thunder feud, would love to see what Wood is capable as a full blown heel, maybe Harris as well eventually succumbing to daddy
Title run - gazzy haha. Only kidding. Think I'd be interested in seeing Cutler, I know he's not been here long but I love the dynamic of him and Hathaway, and I think the type of character (if this were real) comes across as one who would kind of get that push early into their career if this was a WWE type promotion

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
I would go for.....
Enforcer for a face turn. Wood for a heel turn. Same reasons as Gazzy.
Then Bam for a title run. Bam gets the title and then realises he is above who he stalks. Or feels guilty so has a wham bam thank you ma'am tournament so he can give his title to the winner.....some sort of swerve happening at the end

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
Everyone come to terms with the ridiculous game of football televised last night?
As for the QoTD
Who would you turn face?
I'd go with Enforcer for the same reasons as above.
Who would you turn heel?
A heel JJ Johnson would interesting, but wouldn't make sense story line wise. I'd go with a heel Bam Sparkleston.. Purely to read the promos.
Who would you put the world title on given the chance?
I'd go with Cutler well just Hathaway to have a client with a title, no offense to Cutler but I'd enjoy reading what Hathaway had to say.. He'd be like Heyman is with the streak & Lesnar. The crowd would hate him.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
World cups been pretty great so far Steve, valiant effort from the England boys last night.
To answer the Question of Yesterday;
Face: I think Enforcer's the obvious choice. I'd like to see how Costello fairs as a face.
Heel: I think a heel Jack Hurst could be great, similar to how Damian Sandow worked a few months ago. Right now Sandows' a joke unfortunately. Also would like to see Harris turn heel and join Mr. Jones.
World title: I would really like to see Harris with the title alongside his Dad. Would make a great storyline.

QOTD Yesterday:
Face: I think DeMarcus is considered a heel still but I see him being a face with much the same attitude.
Heel: Bitter Hobo. Might work to realign with Enforcer too.
Title Run: Right this second? Hard to say. Long term? Jimmy P. Year of the Talent ending big with a run to the top.

Great response there Kurt, I'll have something up by the end of the day.. The dynamic of these two could be brilliant.
Loved the promo from Crimey, I like the fact that Hathaway does the talking as I feel that when Cutler does take the mic it will be huge.
Loving the negativity of the the English in the football section
I thought England were very promising last night. However, Gerrard has to retire after the World Cup. Very poor last night.

Not at all mate, it was a fantastic promo. Played into both our characters perfectly.
I have posted up a reply, had to close it the way I did as I could be pretty busy at work this week so can't guarantee how much time I'll be able to dedicate to anything more. Happy for you to add a single Bam promo if you want though

I have a feeling it'll be Andrews (the guy who brought 6CW back) or Magnuson (original EWF owner) or even their joined forces. The meetings in 'Mercia would point to Magnuson.
If it is Magnuson then Liam Wood would be part of his team due to how the pair were during EWF.

I reckon that's a good place to leave it this week as a b&f, may do another promo of Bam having alone time but think we've set the scene there well.

My girlfriend has discovered the joys of fantasy football because of the World Cup and because of picking a bunch of French people she's top of her works league. She thinks she's the next Alex Ferguson haha
She's already challenging me next season!

Leiderman was written out just before I had started the first time, so I wouldn't be able to give a perfect account of his time in 6CW but he was the face that had 6CW ripped from him by the last Authority group (there name passes me, it was before Genesis wasn't it?)
He was blown up and never returned, but he was 6CW through and through. Would make an interesting link between 6CW before the hiatus and 6CW after the hiatus.

Re: Out of Character Chat v9
Really busy week for me......not on for as much as I would like. This coming weekend should be good, what with Aftermath being on Monday. I just think this is the calm before the storm stage. We have just got our head around NoG, the matches and Max joining Authority (can't wait for his Plan G).
I will leave you with a QOTD.
Describe your promo routine. Where do you usually write it? Do you eat/drink anything in preparation. Do you like to go off the cuff and let it flow or do you plan it during the week before writing? How much do you feed off other promos and how much do you do your own thing?

As JJ Johnson I literally just sit down and write the promo. I will have a quick read of what my opponent has said and then just do what I have to. It has always come pretty naturally.
With every other character I have used I usually have to give it a little thought but still just mainly go off the cuff.

Its always been different with Ojore who I had to feel needed to speak or it was worth him talking.
With Hurst I like to think of locations and situations, Reborn its about the character bouncing out. Now they are back as a pair I just try to get across a message I need, mix up their differences and have them having some fun. I also try to leave something that can be taken apart by a heel.
