Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
Howdy everyone,
So as the title says, I've 2 Heineken Cup final tickets to give away. I was going to go along if I couldn't sell them but now, due to personal reasons, I can't make it anyway on Saturday. And they're not selling either, so feck it.
Block L19, Row12, Seats 17 and 18
Pm me with your details and I'll send them in the post this evening and hopefully they'll get there by Friday.
First come, first served.
Best wishes!

hah I'm a true blue mate!
And here, considering what Sarries did to Clermont in the semis, I'd be giving them a great deal more than just a punchers chance on Saturday!

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
It's strange how the English clubs (and fans) got accused of throwing their toys out of the pram and trying to change the tournament when their sides weren't winning the trophy or contesting the final regularly.
Now that Irish sides don't make the final it's like the day the music died.
Apols to the OP but your thread had already been hijacked by a few ne'er do wells!

If it saves the touts getting them then good on AGG for doing it this way, I have my tickets and as a Dragons fan I was always ging to be a neutral fan.
At the end of the day I am looking forward to a good day/evening in Cardiff with friends and hopefully a good game but the second bit won't spoil my enjoyemnt of the evening.

Funny how we didn't have this problem when no Irish team made it to the final last year. We've only become annoyed when the English clubs threw their toys out of the pram and changed the tournament when their sides weren't winning the trophy or contesting the final regularly.

Just a bit of banter mate. Fair play to you for making sure your tickets go to another fan. Respect

I don't know, you seem to be the one going from HC thread to thread being as negative as possible, especially when it comes to anything to do with Saracens. It might be an attempt at humour on your part, but if it is you're pretty Poopie at it.

Firstly AGG well done for offering your tickets to other fans.
Secondly, the poor attendance shows how poorly the new sugar daddy, mega bucks clubs have failed to engage the fans and points to some serious flaws in the Wray, Craig, et al business model.

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
I think that Toulon are very well supported but their fans; like most French teams just do not travel. I think it has something to do with the fact their teams in general don't really try away from home. Clermont are really the only ones that bring a large travelling support.justified sinner wrote:Firstly AGG well done for offering your tickets to other fans.

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
I don't get this one upsmanship when it comes to tracelling support. Sarries are a North London club, not an entire region/province. Ok glos, tigers, saints travel well but they are from traditional rugby towns. If ever the universe implodes and the Ospreys get to the final one day, in a Cardiff, we'd probably only take a hardcore 15,000. How many of the provinces actually travelled over to their finals compared to the 1 million Irish ex pats living in the uk?

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
justified sinner I agree. Saracens have failed to engage the fans. The focus in my opinion has been too much on the players. My eyes have been opened to that reality.
It has lead to strong performances on the field but a model where the club and the fans are separate.
The model is flawed agreed.

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
Fair fox to the lad giving away the tickets.
Toulon is a fairly working class Navy town. They have boats, sun and rugby. That's it. Compared to their ultra posh neighbours like Nice etc.
They had a semi about 600 miles away from home last week and a similar journey for the Top 14 final next week.
The top 14 is their priority. The won the HC last year. Top 14 over 20 years ago

I know someone who works at Cardiff Airport and trust me the Toulon fans are travelling en masse this weekend.

I feel a bit sorry for Sarries fans. (and I don't mean that in a patronising or snide way) Everyone seems to hate them. Even fellow English fans. Their club seems to treat them as 2nd class citizens also. Secondary to the almighty buck.
I think the team have put in some great performances. (some not great ones too, like Ulster and an "on the slide" Toulouse home and away) and the final should be a brutal encounter (in a good way) a clash of 2 very physical teams.
Not a dream final for me, but probably 2 of the best teams this season.

Re: Free Heineken Cup Final Tickets
RCT travel agency booked a couple of planes - think the package direct return flight to Cardiff with tickets and transfer started from 400 euro onwards. Not sure you will get more than a thousand toulon supporters to be honest.
