How does that work then
Sorry about the vague title. Just wanted to ask a question (of lsabre?) and hopefully will not be hijacked by politicised numpties.
All I want to know is if an athlete is training abroad with a foreign coach regardless of funding level is that athlete still entitled to the general support other athletes at the same funding level get in the UK (medical or otherwise).

I think that as long as a British athlete fulfills the criteria to gain a place on the funding scheme training under a foreign coach would hold no bearing altogether on that.

Just wondered how UK Athletes in general cope if they say go to the states for example for some warm weather training for a number of months (medical wise). Who's looking after them medically. Do they (like the rest of us) have to take out special insurance for that period
