The monsters are coming
Born in NZ, bought up in Australian rugby league and finished by the Waratahs the Skelton boys are coming to international rugby. Massive, massive men/boys with strength and handling skills.
This weeks sees the eldest Will, turn out for thew Wallabies. Will's 22 years old, 2.03m tall and 135 kg. That's about 2 stone heavier than Billy Vunipola (and any lock playing for a major nation) on a guy the height of Courtney Lawes. He's come late to the game is still learning. The scary thing is his younger brothers are bigger. Cameron is a similar weight but a couple of inches taller). Logan is about 6 7 and 130 kg, but he's only 13 or 14.

Sounds like they'd be ideal project players for the IRFU ....

Nah, these ones might have an international future. The IRFU only bring in duds for the project player set-up (hence why so few ahve gone on the represent Ireland)
EIDT: When I first saw the title I thought it was going to be another dig at English 10 man rugby

Re: The monsters are coming
Gotta say, without meaning to insult them, but the Aussies are idiots.
They have a player that is much bigger, much taller, much faster than the biggest, the tallest and the fastest. He also has great feet and great hands........................... and they don't saw him in half to make two of him?!!!
What idiots.

Don't waste a dream until you see them do International. International can be the eye opener that might knock down their price tag

I think they should play basketball. Has anyone ever told them about how much more money they could get?

Basketball is pretty cool actually.
Definitely prefer watching it to a cr1p scrum-reset-filled NH quagmire game of rugby. Obviously wouldn't choose it over England's beautiful 15-man style though

Re: The monsters are coming
actually i do. lived in new york for a few years so watched a few games. in the flesh, the skills and speed are breathtaking. and relatively easy to appreciate. american football on the other hand all happens so fast it's absolutely impossible to see whats going on live.

Re: The monsters are coming
He has a lot of skills for a big man. He has really soft hands and a good rugby brain more akin to an old school no.8. The player he most reminds me of is Dean Richards.
The problem with his weight is that about 20kg of that is puppy fat. When he played the lions last year he was on on his knees with exhaustion come 60mins. He has addressed this but still is a bit of a liability for fitness.
If he loses a few kgs (ok a few stone) .... I think he would be standout.
About time AUS got some decent front five forwards though. AUS for RWC 2019 perhaps???

soft hands? AHA!!!!!!!! A weakness spotted already! The man has probably never done an honest day's work in his life, as my father used to say. Where's the calluses, Will?

Is will playing for aus?
One of the brothers played for Samoa u20's recently, bit part player, came off the bench to make no impact.
He was huge though.

Yes Will played for Oz today, even scored a try on his debut, had a very good game, made meters, broke the line and had a deft offload to put Folau into a gap for a smart try

It'll be a bad sign if they make it. Personally I want to see smaller players making it because its a sign of the game speeding up.
