Europe vs South America
Morning all,
How about a bit of Friday fun to lift our spirits. Talking to a guy at work about the World Cup, he said there should be a match between Europe and South America which got me thinking. What would the teams be? Would you have to leave out some of the worlds best players?
So, what would your teams be if there was a Europe vs South America match?
Pick 11 plus 5 subs. If you want to limit it to one player per country you can but you don't have to.
Thinking caps on...

I think that would be an incredibly close game with the South American team naturally having more flair and star quality but think the European defence is stronger.

Nick's team would also play in blue and would sack their manager during the game whilst a mad Russian tried to buy Messi

Re: Europe vs South America
One of the best players in the world today and would improve every team. That said you have Cahill as a back up CB, he's just not that good

Re: Europe vs South America
cant believe nobody has had di maria in the south american team so far, one of madrids most impressive players last season, easily have him over a oscar but he can also lay deeper. on the same note id easily have modric on at least the bench over the likes of de rossi, Marchisio and Pjanic

And then you leave Thiago Silva out of the South American defence, possibly the only shoe-in for that team!

Re: Europe vs South America
Even if that's true, the overrated Thiago Silva is still much better than Yepes
