Best Hell in a Cell match - Top 10. Empty Best Hell in a Cell match - Top 10.

Its been a couple of weeks since I posted the poll about the best HiaC matches. Time for us to pick what 606v2 thinks is the best Hell in a Cell ever. We got some good debate in the last thread, hopefully it can continue.

The Top 10

Brock Lesnar def The Undertaker - No Mercy 2002

The match that in many peoples mind solidified Brock Lesnar as a top competitor, even though it was less than a year into his career. The story telling throughout was excellent, with Undertaker fighting with a cast on his arm. Both men and even Paul Heyman bled throughout - making this one of the more brutal looking matches.

Triple H def Cactus Jack - No Way Out 2000

Billed as Mick Foley's retirement match, this match was all about the build up. Foley goading Triple H into a rematch, before announcing the Cell stipulation. Triple H then added the stipulation that if Foley lost he was retired. Both men gave everything, and while not as good as their Street Fight from the month prior, with spots including a flaming, barb wire two-by-four, and Mick going through the top of the cage and the ring below, before succumbing to a pedigree from HHH. Left a sour taste in fans mouth after paying money to see Foley retire just for him to compete at WrestleMania the next month.

The Undertaker def Mankind - King of the Ring 1998

THE most iconic spot in the history of pro-wrestling. Bar none. Foley going off the cell not once, but twice in short succession. Opinions are divided about the impact this had, whether positive or negative. The match itself wasnt the best Hell in a Cell by any stretch, but those two spots, plus the chokeslam into a pile of thumbtacks makes it one of the most infamous and incredible spectacles the business has ever seen.

Kurt Angle def The Rock, Rikishi, Undertaker, Triple H and Stone Cold - Armageddon 2000

The Hell in a Cell with the most competitors in history saw Kurt Angle - in his rookie year, much like Lesnar - defeat 4 of the businesses biggest names and Rikishi to retain his WWF title. Highlights of the match include McMahon trying to demolish the Cell, which lead to Rikishi being Chokeslammed from the top of the cage onto the back of a pick-up. An excellent sequence of finishers led to Angle sneaking a victory. The norm is that more people in a match tends to lower its quality, but these 6 men bucked the trend, and produced an incredible Cell match,

The Undertaker def Triple H - WrestleMania 28

The end of an era. The third in the series between HHH and Undertaker and unbelievably, the first time these two had had a one on one Hell in a Cell match, despite the fact they have a combined 21 appearances in the match. The odds were certainly stacked against the deadman, mainly due to the fact Shawn Michaels was special guest referee. The best Cell match in modern times, it proved that you can have a brutal looking cell match without the need for blood. Produced possibly the biggest mark out moment, when Undertaker took a Sweet Chin Music from HBK into a pedigree. I dont know of a single person who didnt believe that the match would end there. A brilliant example of classic story telling, and a true WrestleMania moment with all 3 men embracing at the ramp. The Undertaker goes 20-0.

Triple H def Shawn Michaels - Badd Blood 2004

A rivalry that had been brewing for years culminated inside Hell in a Cell. The match went nearly 50 minutes, with both men bleeding. Plenty of false finishes and incredible spots, including the use of a ladder and a table. Triple H may have been victorious, but Michaels received an amazing ovation at the end of the match. Proving without a doubt, that with good booking you dont need the title for a great feud.

The Undertaker def Edge - Summerslam 2008

After Edge 'retired' Undertaker and Extreme Rules that year in a TLC match, an irate Vickie Guerrero reinstated the Undertaker and booked this match to get back at Edge's infidelity. An absolute spotfest, too many too mention. Highlights include Edge getting chokeslammed from the top rope through two stacked ring side tables, and the Chokeslam off a ladder through the ring after the match had finished. Edge took the pin after an intense beating, with the Undertaker giving Edge everything Edge had done to him, including a spear and con-chair-to. This one is definatly a must see.

Shawn Michaels def The Undertaker - Badd Blood 1997

The one that started it all. The very first Hell in a Cell. The debut of Kane, the last appearance as McMahon as on-air commentator, the story, the action, the spots. It was perfect. Regarded as many in the business as the best ever, and the only Cell match to receive a coveted 5 star rating from Dave Meltzer.

Batista def The Undertaker - Survivor Series 2007

A lot of good, hard hitting spots and lost of nearfalls, this match is mostly remembered for its ending. Undertaker, having just hit Batista with a tombstone on the steel steps, was screwed as Edge - disguised as a cameraman - pulled the referee from the ring. A camera shot to the head followed by a con-chair-to on the steps was enough for Batista to get the win. This lead to Edge winning the title next month, before dropping it to Undertaker at Mania in another classic match.

The Undertaker def Randy Orton - Armageddon 2005

Much like the Lesnar match, many feel this is when Randy Orton put his stamp on things. Already a former World Champion, Orton lead into this match 2-1 against the Undertaker. The Cell stipulation proved too much for him though, as The Undertaker was able to defeat him. In a classic case of 'You dont have to go over to get over' Orton, while defeated, came out looking a million bucks. And proved that he can deliver top calibre matches with a top opponent, and helped propel him to where he is today.

So there we have it. The top 10 (in no order) as voted for by you. Now its time to pick our winner.
