Taking a Tumble
I've seen a promo running on the BBC the past couple of weeks for a programme called 'Tumble'. It appears to be a similar format to the Bruce Forsyth dancing type programme but the difference being (I assume) they're doing gymnastics instead of ballroom dancing. Isn't this just the sort of programme that Carl Froch said he'd never follow Calzaghe's footsteps and be seen dead doing this type of show? So why is he in the promo? Me thinks a few weeks of Froch in Lycra is about to dawn our screens. No doubt he will be tumbling in the trenches.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not slating him I like him as a boxer. I just find it somewhat amusing.

The warrior has already traded his boxing boots fur dancing shoes once ratboy, so I think he's over the embarrassment and sailing head first into any publicity he can get.

From what I can gather, it has Froch, Aled Jones, Mr Motivator and H from Steps in it.
Someone from the sugababes.

Re: Taking a Tumble
He'll be referred to ask "Boxing Champion, Carl Froch" as it's too much hassle to try and explain the subtleties to the viewing audience who will consist of old people who think that this is sh!t and why don't they put something decent on anymore and why isn't Aled Jones singing "Walking in the Aaaaaaaiiiirrrrrrr" cos ooh I do like that and I like that Harry Secombe as, you don't hear much of him these days, I know he's dead but that's no excuse not to be on telly is it?
Just to rub salt in further, Joe Bugner was referred to as a "World Boxing Champion" when he was on "I'm a Celebrity..."so Frochy baby, you're in exalted company dear chap.
Scrape the barrel any more and you'll dig right through the f*cking planet.
Adam, "someone from the Sugababes" could potentially be one of seven hundred and fifty two women. Not 100% sure but I think even I was in the band at one point (back when they were known as the SUGABABES!

I think Joe Bugner was referred to as the "WBOAP world champion of the world".
I had no idea he had already done a dancing show, that's probably because my wife doesn't watch that sort of dog droppings so I'm pretty well shielded from it.
Hmmm, a Sugerbabe? Sounds sweet.

Froch taking part in a sequined reality show once, trying to gain publicity.
Twice?
He's clearly trying to get in touch with his fabulous feminine side while telling us something about himself.

I've genuinely always thought Froch has a man crush on Big Eddie, the way he gushes & blushes whenever Fast Car bigs him up, the watch gifts, the playing with the ear lobe on RingSide. Often wondered if the Nottingham hard case was in fact a repressed homosexual. This all but confirms it.

Or maybe he's always wanted to try gymnastics and this gives him the chance to do it and get paid

Re: Taking a Tumble
He has a big tattoo on his back declaring his hatred for gymnastics, cursing it as a "Rat's game" and reserving contempt for those who pursue it in any form.
The Contradiction.

Re: Taking a Tumble
He's willing to put aside his hatred of gymnastics for the opportunity to get one up on Calzaghe. Froch reality shows 2 Calzaghe reality shows 1.

Are you suggesting then that Rachel takes the masculine role in the bedroom? It could explain Dave's obsession with her.

True, take away the leotards, the sparkles & spangles, the make up, the prancing around and the fact the majority of participants are teenage girls and it's right up there with Aussie Rules & bare knuckle boxing.

Re: Taking a Tumble
Gymnastic is a man's sport. Except, you know, rhythmic gymnastics, and that one with a ball. And the contemporary dance. But the hoops, beam, and that other one I can remember are for men of Sparta and stuff.

Re: Taking a Tumble
Give it a go and find out, no harm in trying. Although maybe a good diet and a few press ups before hand is better preparation than pouting and fluttering eyelashes.

Froch looks really manly in his sparkly green leotard, maybe he should wear it to his next fight presser to really strike fear into his opponent.

This wouldnt surprise me. There is definately something creepy about the way the pair behave together. Maybe Froch also secret harboured a crush on Calzaghe for many years. It might explain the obsession. I remember when he slated Calzaghe for doing the dancing stuff only to start doing it himself. At least Calzaghe was only doing it to try a get stuck into one of the women in it. Who knows what Frochs reasons are? Maybe Hearn is into ballet?

Froch: WTF???
Have just been flicking channels and I saw Carl Froch hanging from some gymnastic equipment in some awful Saturday night program. Words fail me.
