Springboks hand ABs a favour
My bet is that by beating NZ with a controversial last gasp Penalty, NZ is now off the hook on their unbeaten run and will be free to rest and rotate for the remainder of the season.
The final, pointless, dead rubber against the wallabies can be played out by the fringe selections. Possibly SBW, Carter, Thrush, Cane, Tuipolotu, Piutau, and so forth.
A full team will be needed to keep England in their introversion before more rotation for Wales.
Without this loss the temptation may have been to keep the first XV together.
Silver lining.
