Re: v2 Exclusive - Interview with Gail Kim
On British Boot Camp 2:
"It’s a competition show. Last year it was such a great success and it was kind of different because they went through a process where they picked the contestants beforehand. This year they decided to explore all the major cities on our UK tour – Glasgow, Manchester and London – and scout out the talent in those areas, and I have to say, I was quite impressed with the depth of talent in the UK. You only know that there is a lot of talent but you’re not really sure what’s going to happen, and I was blown away by everybody. I would definitely say we had our pick of the crop."
On the audition process:
"We were there in terms of the first process. The first round is 'show your personality' – we kind of get to know each contestant and see what they've got. If you can entertain us and show us something, whether it’s presence or charisma, then you can move on to the next round and show us what you have in the ring. Sometimes we would ask them to show us a little bit of physicality in the ring. Certain people are known for their wrestling, so we wanted them to show us a little bit of their strengths. I think we picked the right ones; everybody can see on October 19th when the show premieres. I've been told that we picked the right ones, so we’ll just let the viewers decide."
On Grado:
"I heard a little bit about him beforehand and....wow, he blew my mind! He doesn't look like a wrestler and you have these different expectations, and I can definitely tell you that after this show, the saying that you can’t judge a book by its cover was definitely true. Grado impressed the heck out of me in terms of the fan connection he has. These fans love him and he's got the entertainment part down. He’s a very strong contender in British Boot Camp."
On the differences between Awesome Kong and Havok:
"I will say that Havok definitely reminds me of Kong. They’re both highly skilled, experienced wrestlers when they came into TNA. I mean, there’s not much difference. In terms of in-ring ability, I give them both a lot of respect. They’re both very mean and try to hurt the crap out of their opponents, but I guess that’s just how their personalities are. I've only just started seeing a glimpse of Havok right now and what I see is very dominating. I will tell you one thing, I never give up in a fight. I’m always a fighter, so we’ll see what happens in a couple of weeks. Everybody says I’m out indefinitely, and I’m not, that’s what I say anyway. I’m never going to let someone put me out in this business; that’s not the way I want to go out."
On whether the Knockouts belong in the main event:
"I definitely think so. I think it shows that Impact Wrestling has confidence in their women, and I think that they should because we are just as passionate and we can deliver when the pressure is on. I can’t speak for the fans and I've only heard positive reactions in terms of us main eventing the show, but I think we have something different to offer that the other promotion doesn’t offer, and that’s a strong women’s division. I think we have all taken the ball and ran with it."
On the WWE Divas:
"I don’t get to watch a lot of wrestling because I’m on the road all the time, but I still have friends there. Alicia Fox has always been a really good friend of mine from the day that we started together there, and we kind of catch up every once in a while and I hear what’s going on in that world. To me, I don’t think they'll ever give the girls the main event. I mean, they have in the past, but I just feel that it hasn't happened as consistently for years with the way that women’s wrestling is portrayed there. Hey, I want to be wrong, but all I can do is really concentrate on my job and where our women’s division is going. I just want to make this a success and I want to give the fans an opportunity to see the girls on that platform, and I think it’s a great alternative."
On whether she was comfortable seeing Dixie Carter go through a table:
"Oh my God, yes, I felt very comfortable with it. I was so excited. Because, you know, if you wrestle this long, you’ve seen it all – not that you’ve seen it all – but it’s hard to maybe get surprised by something. And that was the first thing in a long time where I was saying, 'Oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening.' I think the fans were excited, I think we were all excited. I thought it was a great thing that happened."
On her plans after retiring from wrestling:
"I would definitely love to help in the business. All I have really said in terms of when I finish wrestling is that I want to be just as passionate about what I do next as I am about wrestling. I've been very fortunate to be able to do something that I’m still passionate about for this long, it just doesn't feel like work. You just enjoy what you do, entertain the fans and travel the world....I’m very fortunate."
On possibly being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame:
"Oh, I don’t know about the next choice. I don’t think about those things, I always think about the now. I’m very honored that people even bring up my name. Without Impact Wrestling I wouldn't have been able to create all those moments, so I just thank them that they gave me the platform to do what I do best. I hope [to be inducted] in the future and we’ll just come to that when the moment happens, if it happens. But thank you, I’m very flattered that you even considered me."

Just as well Mrs D didn't see those photos of Adam getting up close and personal with Dixie Carter!
It'd have been AJ Styles all over again!
On as serious note, I think its great he gets to do these interviews and give us a glimpse of wrestlers' thoughts and personalities away from the TV cameras.
