Munster vs Sale - Page 2 Empty Munster vs Sale

First topic message reminder :

Munster are being ripped apart here.. What is going on? They just seem totally lethargic and cumbersome in defence. Their pack is also getting completely bossed, especially in the scrum. Time to bring on James Cronin!

Seems Munster thought they were in a Pro12 game up until half time when a fan must have reminded them it was a European game.

Lazy basterauds!

The first half yellow card was more significant for me. Sale had a chance to put the game out of sight before and after half-time but got over-excited. They initially went for touch but didn't turn it into points. After that, I think Cipriani tried a kick to the wing, which was well-covered, and then got caught while delaying a pass, and the ball ended up in Munster hands. That was at least three chances for Sale in the opposition 22, any of which could have taken their total to 30. That probably would have been enough to win the game.

What a match... Just watched it this morning. A performance of the Munster of old, a team that has at times seemed like folklore in the pro 12.

Some superb individual performances on both teams, Cipriani leota were great for sale, really good at times. Keatley defied his doubters yestday. Looked like Ronan with a running game yesterday. Zero is a superb talent an Irish Shane Williams. POC and Pom in great legs too...

What a game, great win. Very tough on sale, good performance by them

Given that this was the only away win of the weekend, its actually a fantastic result for Munster.

Depends if you're including the challenge cup too...

Munster are the play away kings.  Even when they land at the wrong foreign airport and need to get an overland train from India through Asia and Europe to get to the game, they're still in with a genuine chance of winning away - even if they only show up for the second half!
