Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
Welsh 38-14 Bordeaux
Welsh backrow and impact bench with FTD pulling the strings wins this well.
Dragons 12-34 Bath
Dragons won't roll over easily but Bath have too much out wide and look dangerous here.
Sarries 40-14 Connacht
An in form Connacht team will struggle to keep up with Sarries and will struggle to get anything against the Sarries centre partnership.
Oyonnax 10-35 Chiefs
Again a pretty simple win with Madigan hitting good form at the moment.

Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
London Welsh 36-18 Bordeaux
Bordeaux not a bad side but French sides never take these away games seriously. Strong Welsh pack give Trinc Duc a comfortable ride.
Grenoble 18-22 London Irish
This Grenoble side weren't great last week but should prove a sterner test at home. Irish should edge the pack battle but will be a harder game then expected.
Dragons 20-30 Bath Rugby
Bath half backs offer more control and great impact off the bench should see them pull away late on.
Saracens 22-15 Connacht
See the Irish side causing a few problems at the scrum but Sarries back row and midfield gives them more go forward ball.
Oyonnax 20-32 Exeter Chiefs
Oyonnax made hard work of Zebre last week and will struggle on defence with Lopez/Madigan in decent form.

Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
London Welsh 42 - 21 Bordeaux
Bordeaux have begun the season in great form and have some v talented youngsters in the squad, but fortunately the London Welsh in this game are far, far better than the real London Welsh and have some v inform players - Haskell at no8 is a good move for this game.
Grenoble 18 - 30 London Irish
Harder to go away to France, but Irish could have rested more players and still walked this - quite a few players coming into some good form now.
Dragons 23 - 32 Bath Rugby
Bath have got an incredibly dangerous backline, especially Graham North...there are tries all over the place from them, but Dragons could cause a few issues with their pack.
Saracens 33 - 17 Connacht
Although Connacht have started the Rabo quite well, Sarries will walk this at home with the pack Pooly has put out - lot of power, dynamism and a great game to get SBW involved in - youthful bench stops the scoreline going into the 40s. Like the props Pooly has out.
Oyonnax 15 - 33 Exeter Chiefs
Chiefs are pretty much superior from 1-15 and with a stronger bench, one point would b e that Jones at no7 needs to get a bit more physical as he's currently Wasps fifth choice openside and could be an issue in tougher games.

Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
Welsh 32-28 Bordeaux
Bordeaux looked fantastic the other night and are flying in the T14. Saying that it's a solid Welsh side who will just sneak home. Not sure of Pennell at 13 CJ.
Grenoble 12-38 Irish
Pretty routine win for Irish, look stronger in most areas.
Dragons 22-42 Bath
Strong Dragons side on paper but we turned them over last night with a young side so expect a much stronger Bath side to win with ease.
Oyonnax 13-35 Exeter
Strong Exeter side will cruise home, hard to rate Kahui but strong elsewhere for Flux.

Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
Welsh 32 - 20 Bordeaux
Welsh too strong but Pennell gets crucified at 13 in AP.
Grenoble 16 - 26 London Irish
Huge potential in midfield for Irish and they are stronger across the board here. Take a good win but can't grab the TBP.
Dragons 18 - 31 Bath
Dragons no mugs but Bath have too much here especially in the outside backs. Second rownot great for Bath unless Bekker heads back to SA he has no rating for me.
Saracens 15 - 12 Connacht
In heavy rain Saracens suffer at the set piece. They aren't as strong in the scrum as Connacht and in these conditions that hurts them badly. Back row advantage really helps Saracens as do Steyn and Bosch marshalling things. Close game.
Oyanaxx 15 - 36 Exeter
Cheifs much stronger across the board and get a comfortable BP win here. Oyonnax have quality scattered throughout there team but not enough to cause huge problems.

Re: European Challenge Cup Round 2
London Welsh 27 - 21 Bordeaux Begles
Welsh at home are strong, despite several changes to their side. They are also slightly lucky that Bordeaux are focusing on the Top 14, otherwise a full strength Bordeaux side, might have knocked over Welsh.
Grenoble 21 - 28 London Irish
Irish have too much here for a decent French outfit even away from home. Not quite bonus point material though as Grenoble will make Irish work hard.
Newport Gwent Dragons 19 - 32 Bath Rugby
Dragons are a unit with some decent players, but can't cope with the Bath wave coming at them from over the Severn. Bath have the firepower to acquire the bonus point.
Saracens 21 - 15 Connacht
Heavy rain helps Connacht into the game as Sarries youngsters struggle in the set piece. Sarries have the ability to grimd the result out however, with Steyn's boot the main protagonist. However Connacht at home and if they had a strong goal kicker (ala Dan Parks) they might have on another night turned over this Sarries side.
