I'm also a HTC One M8 user, it just won Gadget (not mobile but gadget) of the year a couple of weeks ago. I can't fault this phone, I've had it almost 7 months and it's working magnificently (touch wood)

The forward facing speakers are the best in the business, truly boom sound. When I'm watching a YouTube video with others or even playing a song the quality of the sound is crisp and sharp not forgetting it's loud.

I didn't lose any games though unlike you. Who wants to play in the botanical gardens tournament aka the St Johnstone trophy. Which is played by league 1 and league 2 and possibly Sunday league players.

I applaud your choice I won't mock it, the iPhone is a great solid phone but obviously not on the levels of Android especially HTC One M8.

I appreciate that all Smartphones are probably good in their own ways, the iPhone 4 was my first smartphone and I've never had any issues with it so i don't really want to switch my allegiances. It's not to say that i wouldn't ever have anything else though of course but at the moment i am happy with what I've got.

Fair answer I respect that. If I'm honest there is no such "best phone around" it's what you prefer. If you like the simplicity and lack of features then go for the iPhone. If you like tech and want a sleek phone go for an android.

Or if you want an all round better phone, the Nokia Lumia on Windows. But like Viva says, all about preference.
