You can see the week 3 table and the overall leaderboard here:-
https://www.606v2.com/t56365-autumn-internationals-competition-week-3-leaderboard
To enter All you have to do is guess the score of each game. You gain points on how close you are and the game outcome. This weekend's fixtures are listed below. You can see the full rules in the spoiler below.
The rules are as follows:-
- Spoiler:
- 1) Each week you will be asked to predict the scores from that weekend's games. All predictions must be made before the start of the games.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome.
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get a match score spot on you will be awarded with double points. So if the correctly predict a match's score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - Ireland 17-31 South Africa
Actual result - Ireland 25-31 south Africa
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting South Africa to win. As you were 8 points off Ireland's score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting South Africa's score spot on.

Luckily they don't. They've been numb for a good number of seasons now.

Mystir, I will be very surprised if England limit NZ to 12 points.

looks like I am the only who picked an Italian win...is Samoa that good now? (I know Italy have not really progressed but they tend to offer some resistance at home at least)

Re: Autumn Internationals Competition - Week 4
Italy have regressed at an alarming rate over the past couple of years, and I'd say Samoa are the best Pacific island team - comfortably beating Scotland not that long ago (although that isn't overly difficult).

Re: Autumn Internationals Competition - Week 4
Italy has only once beaten Samoa.
Last year in Nelspruit during the Quad tournament Samoa beat them 39-10
Earlier this year Samoa beat them 15-0

Most people going for a Scotland win (including me).
Are we favourites for it? Would be an incredible achievement if we won I think, especially given their rugby championship form.

Not in my mind - just wishful thinking (me too) - but fully expect Argentina to front up and make it very difficult for us

Re: Autumn Internationals Competition - Week 4
You should beat them and you should believe you should and it shouldn't be an over achievement at all looking at how well Glasgow are doing and how bad Argentina have been.
I know people are laughing at the glasgow comment- but the reality is- these players play with each other week in week out so will straight away be on a level of understanding from the first game of the series.

I think you might be right that people are underestimating the benefit of players being together - and winning - week in week out. I totally disagree with your assertion that Argentina have been poor - NZ aside they had 4 close games in the Rugby Championship, and deserved at least one win - they were very unlucky to lose their home game to SA. Argentina's summer results (and hence ranking) have been misleadingly bad purely because they pick a genuine second string for those games.

Are we favourites for it? Would be an incredible achievement if we won I think, especially given their rugby championship form.
I feel like Argentina have
Will be fascinated to see how they do. I feel like they have been pouring all their energies into the Rugby Championship because that is what they are weighed and measured. They constantly have to justify that they deserve to be there.
It used to be on this tour they did that, justified their place at the top table to the world- like when they beat England in 2006 at Twickenham- but, for me, all that has taken a back seat since they were invited into the Rugby Championship.
No disrespect to Scotland, but I love Argentina rugby and would love to see them do well. But they run on emotion and its the Rugby Championship that brings out that incredible emotional high these days.
