It did look harsh but that was like the 3rd offense in the red zone..

No try for the man with the worst haircut. But a tasty 5m scrum
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Newport Gwent Dragons, 30 November
That's much better. Use the dominant scrum

Guessed a penalty try would come, judging by the sounds of our scrum today

Wilson will be cleaning the fan toilets with his toothbrush after that

Good job he doesn't have to clean the ones at Rodney Parade

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Newport Gwent Dragons, 30 November
Geraint Rhys Jones sounds like he is turning into a pretty handy 15 and goal kicker for us. Wonder how our captain can get back into our team now.

Ohhh, red if you're going to ping for squint feeds do it more than once. And we were clearly beasting them again in that scrum

This is one of those games where Glasgow are completely dominating on the scrum, but you just know the ref is going to make some strange calls!

Don't know how long is left (but it can't be long), but I hope we hold on and get an LBP. Though I am happy we have showed some character today and we can now go into three very winnable games and hopefully turn our season around before the double header v the Blouse

Poor performance from Glasgow this, although Dragons have certainly stepped up this week.
Glasgow really need to raise their game for next week!

That was a terrible performance from Glasgow. Dragons don't look like a team propping up the league

So is the consensus that we are going to be eaten and pooped out of Guy Noves' backside if we play like that next week? I didn't see the game. Why were we so bad? Was it lashing down?

I'm actually much more confident facing Toulouse than before the game as the scrum has looked good for the 1st time of the season.
Dragons played with a lot of intensity in defense, Glasgow didn't expect that and didn't know how to deal with it.

Toulouse lost at home yesterday as well. They are having an up and down sort of year as well.
I will feel a lot better with Russell and Dunbar back in midfield. No one was directing the traffic today. We were actually better when Henry came on as well. Niko is better used as the ultimate impact sub

Also it's better a game like this going into europe rather than a 50 pointer blowout so well done The Dragons for upping their game.

Yes a few more performances like that (and by GC for London Irish) and Jon Welsh could be playing himself into the Scotland TH shirt. He really did look good today, especially considering it was his first full game back. A worthy MoM, there were not many candidates!

Welsh seems to have lost some flab too - he seems to no longer be in the Jacobson school of propping!

It's funny you say that as i thought Weir had a good game but yeah Dunbar definitely nailed on. I am fairly sure Pyrgos will start next week.

The only real selection worry in the backs is 13 with the continued absence of .
Last time I looked at the table Montpellier and Tolouse were sitting arm in arm somewhere the middle. Since we won in Montpellier we should win next week. Aristotelian logic at it's finest.

Apologies. Congrats Glasgow. Not what you would've wanted or expected, but a win is a win. Plus you're two wins better off than last season.

Probably a bit much to blame it all on Weir. he certainly kicked well, from tee and by hand. In truth non of the backs, other than maybe Murchie, played well. Lamont once again showed his limitations at centre and Horne just had one of those games.
I am sure it will be Henry and Finn at half back next week, they are our best pairing to start and the others to warm the pine.

Sounds like your boys stepped up too Risca. Not that many people will take a BP from Scotstoun this season.

A win is a win but the4y made hard work of it. No favours from the ref either. How the Dragons front row stayed on I don't know and how the ref allowed them to walk round a scrum, breakaway and give the put in to dragons I don't know.
Not even a sniff of a bonus point. Centres is the issue for Glasgow. Start Vernon instead of shlong?

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Newport Gwent Dragons, 30 November
The top six as it stands is arse-clenchingly close
Munster 32 pts
Ospreys 31 pts
Glasgow 31 pts
Ulster 31 pts
Leinster 28 pts
Connacht 27 pts
I imagine it will remain so over the next number of weeks... it's hard to call the top 4 this season, or rather it's hard to call which one of those top five teams will miss out.

Well a mid season wobble seems to becoming a bit of a tradition!
Hopefully we have had it now and it was not quite as drastic as previous years. I still can't get over the way we lost back to back to the Blues last year

I think it is more likely to come down to the head to heads between the contenders rather than the bonus points. They all seem to have had a wobble or two. Glasgow have only really played Leinster (W) and Ulster (L) so far of our major rivals, we have still got o play Ospreys and Munster twice. This game coming against Munster is going to be very important, got to win the home ones and hopefully sneck a few of the away ones as well. No one seems invincible this year, is probably going o go right down to the wire.

The thing is though Glasgow have been here before, with a lack of BPs costing them dearly. It's gonna be so tight they need every point they can get!
