It keeps repeating like a Groundhog Day............................

It's a bit sexist for a forum topic, but I will say I think the quality of Irish refereeing in the Pro 12 is bloody awful. Deadly Dudley and Peter Fitzgibbon are awful referees. I've actually decided not to go to games at the Ospreys stadium as a season ticket holder because I knew they'd be refereeing. Basically I knew the game would be totally frustrating and I'd leave the stadium angry because they are so inept. I think it's fair to say their is serious issues with the refereeing standards when people won;t go and watch a game they are involved in, and I'm not alone in thinking this.

I thought the idea of Welsh Regional fans not attending games they are involved in was a longer, deeper set and much more culturally, and particularly, a unique Welsh problem than it was an Irish cheating and incompetent ref or four????

Fly, this is about the fourth reason he has given for not attending the Liberty, one of the more ridiculous ones was the abuse he was supposedly receiving on our forum, when actually most everything he was saying on there was taken apart, he doesn't post on there anymore.
As far as Irish referees are concerned, the only decent one at the moment is Lacey, I remember a game about a month or 6 weeks ago shouting at him during the game and when watching it back, it turns out he had had an excellent match, and my take on things it is not only Irish refs, Hodges the Welsh boy has to be one of the most pedantic of officials around. IMO there are only about half a dozen competent officials in the NH, the English trio in our home game against Metro were totally incompetent on the offside law, we would have won that game comprehensively if they had done their job properly.

What did I say about that Welsh referee Hodges, his refereeing of the scrum especially the feeds into the scrum was pathetic, Murray should have been pinged for practically every feed today, as I said it is NOT only Irish refs are useless, he is crap as well.

Hodges yellow carded POC yesterday for going in from the side when he was perfectly entitlted to do so as he was attempting to ground the ball as it was over the line. POM told him this but he wouldn't listen. Frankie on Sky agreed with POM.

To be honest refereeing standards across the pro 12 are bloody awful, it's not only an Irish problem, but they probably have one of the weaker referee talent pools, and there always seemed to be an Irish ref at the Liberty, and always one when the Ospreys played Ulster, Munster, or Leinster but strangely never against Connacht.

We often get Welsh refs at hope to Welsh teams - clearly some prior agreement
