First topic message reminder :

Who is happy with their team? It strikes me that no team really seems to have had that good a round.

Italy: Will be pleased to have scored three tries but their defence was as thin as a fine stone-baked Margherita's base.
Rating: 3/10
Star Man: Morisi

England: A good win on the scoreboard, but they let in three tries and didn't control the game as expected.
Rating: 7/10
Star Man: Joseph

France: Defeat and their bosh-bash-bump style of play seemed so dull and foreign to the style of play we expect and want to see from them. It's like going to a French restaurant and being given buckfast. Sorry, but no.
Rating: 5/10
Star Man: Lopez

Ireland: Perhaps the happiest, but no try was scored and the backs just looked a little disjointed, lacking the cohesion of Darcy and O'Driscoll. Get some WD-40 into them.
Rating: 7/10
Star Man: Sexton

Wales: A win, but they came up against a Scottish team who, quite frankly, were their own worst enemies. If they keep up this level, they can wave goodbye to the 6 Nations title and getting out of their RWC group.
Rating: 6/10
Star Man: Halfpenny

Scotland: Same old, same old. "They created chances" "potential" - but no delivery. Like a flat Irn-Bru or a Caramel Wafer that's melted in your pocket, such high expectations, such dejection.
Rating: 5/10
Star Man: Dunbar
So, were you happy with your team? Did you see improvement? Are you optimistic for your team?

England 'massive underdogs'?  What greyhound races have some of you been watching in the last few weeks?
Well.... a couple of weekends ago I was at the Kingdom Greyhound track in Tralee. Is that the answer you were looking for?

England are massive underdogs. Possibly the biggest underdogs since the Maginot Line. And we know how that worked out. Doesn't mean they can't punch above their weight, mind, but the chances, mate. The chances.

Lordy, I am hoping this doesn't get too ugly too quickly. Herr Schmidt, the Ireland coach, is trying to minimise the disparity, but we are not buying it. Massive.............

This may sound weird, but I would make Ireland favourites to win a Grand Slam, but England to win the title.

(ie I expect Ireland to win in Dublin therefore England cannot win GS, but Ireland then have two tough games on the road)

The poll % show there are no French supporters voting on here. But one plucky Italian thinks his country can still win the 6n. Go on lad, get yer bet on down at the bookies, what a bargain you will get.

Just imagine what they'll be like when they start scoring tries against teams.

England are going to be slaughtered.  Wales minced and Scotland stewed.

Obviously an Ireland Grand Slam this year.

PS. I am content.

These all from your lamb section of your Pothale cookbook ?
My personal favourite is an Irish Stew, cooked gradually over English oak, bring to boil, to be fully done by 80 minutes.

It's the oak that burns though. The stew only sizzles, bubbles and smells delicious Wink

England have front five dominance over Ireland. In George Ford they have at last found a 10 who can pass the ball, Joseph's star is in the ascendant and his future so bright it's a multi-coloured dreamboat. Whichever wings are chosen will be way faster than anything Ireland can muster.

This success is all with a practical B team of squad players who are unused to playing with each other, so with every passing week they will get better. Then ease in the real first teamers as they become fit and England won't just beat Ireland they stand a
great chance of winning the World Cup on their own patch. Smile

English will scoff the stew smack their lips, burp loudly and crap on the red carpet on the way out.
They have a huge appetite, so head to London next to feast on Scotch Broth.
