Footballer arrested

The Sun reported an England international and Premier League star was arrested for allegations of underage sex with a 14 year old girl, and when police went to arrest him they found a loaded gun as well.

Durham police confirmed they arrested a 27 year old man.

Durham = Newcastle or Sunderland and England player.

Looks like Adam Johnson unless Billy Jones has an England career that passed me by.

Doesn't matter sadly, there was a story about a teacher who met a student in a club and slept with her, he had know idea she was a student, had never taught her and not long started at the school. Lost his job and can't get another.

I wouldn't even go near a fifteen year old. Maybe she looked good.... and not in that classical way, in that ass out, breasts popping out her turtleneck way.

What if that fifteen year old looked and sounded twenty? Are you gonna potentially ruin the moment by asking for ID?

The only way to prove that is if there's footage of her in a pub/club with him though.

Still though, what is wrong with these idiots, you've got a missus and kid and go effin about with someone else.

Hope his missus kicks him to the kerb and takes him halfway to the cleaners and if it comes out he knew, hope the other girl takes the rest of it.

Yes if you had to guess at this moment in time, the most likely scenario (IMO) is that he has met her in a club/bar with no idea of her age. In which case it becomes very messy!

Totally agree on the missis/kid side of things though, throwing it all away for some random girl isn't really worth it..

I do know hes a sleaze, used to pester my mate's girlfriend all the time.

Although obviously they can get around it, but isn't this kinda the job of the guys on the door...

In my younger days, got with a 17 year old in a club, she looked older and I assumed she was older as it was a club but was only afterwards when my mate informed me did I realise.

Obviously no wrong doing there but in a similar situation that goes slightly further with a 15 year old, who is the one actually in the wrong?

Putting the age thing aside, even say she was 20.

Possibly - Ever drank Kool Aid? Could probably give a word for word playback of every special he's ever done. Was never too hot on the Chapelle Show (which I incidentally thought was too white), but I love him live. Incidentally, he does have a skit where he asks "How old is fifteen really". Goes on to say "If you can be tried for murder as an adult at fifteen, you should know whether you want to be pee'd on or not (by R. Kelly)".

Tbh, I can't remember the last time I went to a club. Well, that's a lie, but it's been a while. Too noisy, too sweaty, cigarette ash smelling... and strobe lights hurt my eyes. Plus Joburgers think spiking a drink, even just for the hell of it is funny. Lady walks up to me, I wouldn't ask for ID, but I can't believe there wouldn't be any warning signs at any point in the night that this is a rather young person and better safe than sorry. Add in the fact that he has a wife and kid, and I honestly can't feel empathetic. Just a personal feeling though, and I'm not nearly emotionally invested enough to care how it goes legally.


I'm not taking a moral high ground at all here, and if he uses that as his defence and it works, fair play, but I'd be lying if I said I live in fear of making the same mistake. The fact that I'm saying this and my girlfriend is barely over five feet and 115lbs is not lost on me

See - shagging a fifteen-year old is one of those things. That's why it's against the law. The fact that he's done it so soon after ostensibly becoming a family man (ostensible, maybe it's an open relationship?) of sorts makes any empathy impossible for me. It's certainly a mistake which I suppose can happen, but with the background... not one I find pity for. Bit like buying a car you didn't know was stolen with ill-gotten money... Shame but being a douche can have unfortunate consequences

Nonetheless, I doubt it will get too far (unless it was a longish running relationship) a brown envelope here and she'll suddenly remember it was Alan Johnson who shagged her, not Adam. Or if there is DNA evidence, she'll remember clearly telling him two or three times she's 18.

You should lose relationships over cheating, not freedom. And shagging a 15 year old in itself isn't against the law, strictly speaking. The variables will be. He doesn't strictly have to go to jail for it either, if its considered a one time thing and consensual. He may very well just be placed on the SO register. But it seems unlikely with a high profile figure
