Rory Kockott
Has he got Irish heritage? or does he just hate England??
Some serious fist pumping after kicking the ball out, Maybe he didn't realise that his team had just lost by 20 points??

Or maybe he knew his team could not win no matter what they did.

Re: Rory Kockott
just hated england i reckon. think that photo was after england got penalised, not when he kicked the ball out of play. obviously enjoyed depriving England of a 6Ns win.
wierd priorities he has obviously. after all, he's not even French. suspect he will be taking some stick in the dressing room for it. all the rest of the french team were admirable in their respect for that match and the spirit in which it was played, and the english opposition.

Re: Rory Kockott
If his reaction was due to his wanting to deny England the 6Ns title, so what? I think some guys are reading too much into it though. I think he was just relieved/delighted that his teams defense held out.

Re: Rory Kockott
The rest of the team were trying to play. It was quite funny that he was the 'French' player that kicked it out.

Re: Rory Kockott
Owens didn't know the correct minutes played, and told the teams that just prior. So the team played on not knowing either, but Kockott looked at the clock, and decided for himself that time was up, I guess.

Re: Rory Kockott
Definitely reading too much into this. France had played for a few phases and were pushed back onto their own tryline with a turnover looking inevitable. Kockott didn't really have much choice.

Of course he did. He could have kept playing until we got a converted try

nobody is commenting on the fact he kicked the ball out.theslosty wrote:Definitely reading too much into this. France had played for a few phases and were pushed back onto their own tryline with a turnover looking inevitable. Kockott didn't really have much choice.
just that he was the only "frenchman" double fist pumping the air while the rest of his team did nothing of the sort.

Not really. The 6N was won and lost in Dublin, not yesterday, and the best overall side won

Re: Rory Kockott
not at all fella. thrilled with englands performance. best days rugby i've ever watched. never imagined we would be within touching distance of a 26 point win against france to claim the 6Ns after the wales and ireland matches yday.
this thread gets traction because all the rorys i know are irish...

barnes is a professional referee. professionally impartial. and a stickler at the breakdown where ireland and new zealand love to exploit their "legal" slowing down.
rory is a "french" player.

He's English
.... and Rory the French guy was born in Antrim, raised in Cork, went to School in Boston and was the only Irish dancer never to appear in a performance of River Dance...so stop making silly accusations against him. He's simply being patriotic!

BTW Yes, you're right quins. Rory cheated by trying to beat England for non-French reasons. The bastard! Six weeks ban at least.

If I was in his shoes, I'f have felt the same. "If there gonna beat us, we're gonna deny them the championship at least". He's obviously ultra-competitive, being a professional sports man.

It was far better that he got his Kickoutt than get his Kockoutt.

Re: Rory Kockott
He was celebrating winning the final forwards tussle, quins, was he not? When all the fun is done, I think that's all it was. Those tight exchanges are always so tense in tense games.... one final little victory from the face of defeat probably got to him.

...not the bloody Cok stuff quins. That stuff is between you and Laurie. I don't get involved in personal stuff. I was merely explaining Kockott's Kockyness

Re: Rory Kockott
Ireland deserved to win the championship in my eyes! Truly progressional performance at home to England! Best performance of the 6 nations in so many ways! However if France were going to kick it out they should of after the ruck offence! Not give it a go then bottle it

Re: Rory Kockott
Giving it a go nearly ended me. Though I didn't see that moment of madness live as I had already dived onto the carpet and my face was in it (celebrating the relief). Someone else then shouted to me "They're f**king playing on!"
"WHAT?!!!! - them f**king eejits!!!!"
