Anyone grown Chilli's before
Bit of a long shot but has anyone on here grown chilli's at home. I've just taken delivery of 3 super hot ones and 3 normal but any tips with them would be helpful. (The last time I tried to grow ghost chilli's, nowt happened.

If a shoot springs up, dont climb it

I've grown them a couple of times mate. The main thing is to ensure that you don't over water them and that they are keep relatively warm (indoors or a greenhouse). Once you get a sprout ensure that they get plenty of sun by putting them in a window sill.

Water sparingly, feed frequently (tomato food works well) and they can't get enough sun.
Expect most of them to ripen lateish in the U.K. although some are a bit earlier.

Cheers Navy, 3 are doing fine (although no fruiting yet) 3, the cats eat all the fricking leaves although they don't seem to have died. And the last I planted from seed and have started sprouting. Am well chuffed ha ha (it's the little things)
They're currently all in 10cm square pots, do i need to move them to bigger pots at any point or will they be alright (yes i'm pants at this but i'm trying to learn.)

2 are now doing fine, 4 have just got stems left (not the cat, the leaves fell off) but the ones I seeded myself are all growing good in a little pot.
Anyhoo, just a bit of info but World of Chilli's is having a sale with 1/3 off all plug plants, they've got ghost chilli's and all sorts so thought some of you might be interested.

Find a ladybird or two and pop them near your plants

Though don't get confused with lava, that would have dire consequences.

Get it from a online gardeners store. make sure you dont buy em over ebay as they might have their own parasites.

Re: Anyone grown Chilli's before
Eeek, whiteflies! Also a big issue with chillis, once I had them they always came back. I used an organic spray to kill them off as I grew mine as a house plant.
Just need to thoroughly wash anything your harvest.

Re: Anyone grown Chilli's before
Where did you get your organic spray from? and if you made it whats the recipe. I got a recipe for one (detergent, garlic, chilli powder, water) and it seems to attract the little gits.
Cheers for all your help fellas it's much appreciated
