Well that's the end to cruise control!
Certainly a pen (Rose's 2nd, by right).

Definite pen in fairness, the moment you move your arm away from your body it's hand to ball, shameful commentating.

Sturridge for Walcott? Pre-planned, I hope.

Id have thought so since Theo not played in any games and Sturridge is injury prone.

Why is Milner still taking set-pieces?!

Drinkwater is not up to this level, he's industrious but very little else.

Milner and Drinkwater are not good enough.

On this showing for Drinkwater anyway. Bit harsh to write him off after one game I suppose.

It's been carried by Kante for much of the season, only been picked because he plays for Leicester.

Walcott, Ox, Milner, Lallana (who has done well tonight), Sturridge, Jagielka, Drinkwater, Wilshere and Henderson (less so) should all have fears they wont make it. But most of them will.

On merit, Rooney should also have a fear that he won't make it. But he certainly will.
Theo and Oxlade are probably battling for one place. As are Wilshere and Alli. Henderson and Lallana are probably safe. Jagielka and Drinkwater almost definitely not. Sturridge is fine as long as he guarantees fitness. Milner probably not.

Kane, Vardy and Defoe are the only strikers to score more than him this season, you do not go into a major championship with no senior players.

Weak defending from Jagielka.

Re: The Official *England's Passage to Paris 2016* Thread
well at least that might keep expectations down a bit...
Think the ref has got it wrong on tha goal, but Jagielka could also have been stronger. England seemed to lose most of their attacking threat when Walcott came on, he looked very short of match sharpness to me, and Kane was pretty poor for once.
Drinkwater was OK, but nothing more, don't think he's got the extra quality needed. Dier a much better option surely.
Milner shouldn't be near an England team again.
Forster did well in goal.

Meh, England shot themselves in the foot and faded after the hour mark.
Not much more to say. Thank you to the bookmakers for giving 'evens' on over 2.5 goals, that was very kind.

Probably this defeat isnt such a bad thing for England. It will help to dampen some of the overhyped expectation after the Germany game, whilst confirming the pecking order for a few positions.

Feel that's true, especially about the hype. I had no great quarrel with either of the Dutch goals but some refs wouldn't have given a penalty for Rose's handling whilst many would have blown for a foul on Jagielka. If both decisions had gone our way, we would not only have won last night's game but the Euros as well - at least in some fans' eyes. On such fine margins are too many expectations set.

Glad to see Harry Redknapp has given his thoughts on the England squad for the Euros, stating that Wes Morgan is deserving of a call up.

Given his opposition, and that fans want form players in, then why not?

Henderson out for six to eight weeks, will likely miss the Euro's. Pretty much guarantees Wilshere

A better outcome for England. Would only be bettered by a Milner injury

England's first game is nine weeks away, so Henderson will still probably make it on the plane.

If it was six weeks till the first game he'd still be on that plane. Him and Jack together. Jack could stay out all night snorting Charlie and he'd still get a place in the squad with his wheelchair.
This should be the moment that nails Noble's already deserved selection, but I'd put money on this being nothing but an annoyance to Woy's triumvirate of Milly, Willy and Hendo

With a weak central midfield, is Rooney in midfield the best thing for the team? Gives us much more footballing ability in midfield and also gives the space for Kane up front.
Dier Rooney and Alli gives lovely balance

At the point of a diamond it might work but I don't think the balance is that great with Alli there so would still pick Carrick ahead of Rooney in midfield personally.

Dier holding, Rooney ball playing with the ability to create and Alli going up and down with less responsibility at the back.

Oxlade-Chamberlain ruled out of Euro 2016. Pretty irrelevant news. I'd probably take Townsend now, as Walcott has had no football whatsoever.

Re: The Official *England's Passage to Paris 2016* Thread
Don't think Chamberlain, Walcott or Townsend should go. I think only the first was being seriously considered.

Not that I want to start the debate again, but Milner has been absolutely fantastic for a few months now. He should 100% be in the squad for me.
